Hmmmm…for me GoComics is really acting weird! ;)

First, I couldn’t connect with GC, then when I could connect, the comic itself didn’t come up, and still there are hiccups! Anyway, hopefully, this post won’t disappear! ;)

So, anyway, so much for Luann and running her life on her own schedule…already she’s messed up once. Luann, it will take time to figure everything out! Don’t panic! ;)

IJB (link not connected…again…), as most of us “early birds” know, we all like to see what happens next without waiting until it is morning (!). Sort of like the old TV soap opera days…remember the angst surrounding Luke and Laura?! And, yes, I am at least, here! ;)

IJB (GC still not connecting…oh well) =-O That’s what Luann needs to do: know her destination and plan accordingly. This should include several different approaches to solving whatever dilemma she currently finds herself in (like meeting Bernice at WW!)… ;)

I remember when I could make all my classes before I could afford a cell phone. Now I can’t remember when to take the trash to the curb unless my cell tells me to.

Why shouldn’t Luann and Bernice remain friends? Even though they are currently attending different schools, they still have a lot in common, such as their history together since 8th grade or earlier. I know of a few women who maintained their friendship (which began in high school) for 50 years or more. No matter where one is in life, unless there were very hard feelings about something, there is always the chance to continue having old friends while making new ones… ;)

True! Greg is keeping things fresh by giving them a chance to still be close friends, but yet giving them some space so that they (and by extension, us) can have a chance to enjoy the best of both worlds.. the “new” and the “old”….

Well, ‘narcissistic moron’ may be going too far. But Luann is a comic exaggeration of traits that include narcissism and foolishness..How would you characterize Calvin of “Calvin and Hobbes”or Charlie Brown in “Peanuts” ?.Calvin is surely egotistical and wildly delusional.Charlie is a psychotic mess.But they are FUNNY.

Really Bad…. uh…. Luann lives at home, and while Bernice lives in the dorms, it is also the same city apparently (my understanding is the Moony U is in the same city as is Pitts CC). And, because this is the first week of college, it is not so unusual to go hang out with old friends while you slowly go about getting the new college friends as well.

Ha! I have one of those insects for sale if you want one.

I’ve heard people who work with special needs kids use the term moron because most don’t know about it’s second definition. Then again, let’s look at the term gay. I can’t use it as it’s original definition (happy) because it’s offensive to homosexuals. Bottom line? It’s stupid just like the main character of this strip.

We all talk about being responsible and being able to do things for ourselves, but it was the “structure and confinement” of our high-school years that enabled us to be the adults we are now—and Luann will recognize that sooner or later. Well, knowing Luann, it’ll be later. : )

Bernice should be making friends on campus and doing things there, NOT eating with Luann at high school hangouts like WeenieWorld! Hopefully Bernice realizes this after Luann shows up late, or not at all. You can tell the comic strip is just treading water when 95% of the comments are about everything BUT Luann. That’s okay, its not a bad thing, you guys just like hanging out at the water cooler.

Yeah, you know that… I know that… but the people in those movies don’t…. and I don’t think we should tell them, since it’s their world…. – (And I know that it’s Gung Fu and not Karate, but it just “rolls out” easier off of the tongue, the same way that people say “Pampers” for diapers, and “Kleenex” for tissues. it just became a “catch all” phrase, separate from the “true and actual meaning”….)

It’s funny you asked that- I just happen to have a list of critters that love bedbugs here here . But I don’t think these will be on anyone’s “top ten” list for ways to get rid of them, even as effective as they are at their “job”….

I still don’t think Bernice and Luann should fracture their friendship because of the new people they will meet. Sure, there will be opportunities to meet and greet new friends, but also, there will be a time for old times’ sake. Can’t write any more because of the changeover… ;)

I kept at it for awhile, then resigned myself to waiting. Then, decided to try one last time and…(drum roll)…there she was…LOL ;)

A few years ago, my hub found an old high school friend he always reminisced about and still missed. Anyway, I forgot how he found his old friend, but they picked up right from where they dropped! They still have hour-long conversations at times… ;)

I don’t see Luann as being an “anchor”…not at all… ;)

Oh, YUUUCCCCKKKKK! When I was about 6, a Praying Mantis landed on my shoulder and I ran around shouting for someone to get that horrid thing off of me! I would have been completely grossed out if I saw one eating the way you described! =-O
