So, sorry to say, you can’t afford the operation that you need, so get your affairs in order, or sign up for that abysmal Obama care.

Interesting survey of hospitals that showed a simple lipid test can vary from $10, to over $10,000 !!!! Maybe there needs to be a little regulation , like for the pharmacy prices as well, that Republicans specifically wrote legislation to PROHIBIT with Medicare?

When you build a house, you have to conform to the current building codes….They change every year…Now when you build an insurance policy, you have to conform to new upgraded codes….Big freakin’ deal….Pull your shorts out of your cracks people….

Here in the UK if I need a lipid test it is ….FREE. If i need a prescription it is just £8 ($13.50) no mater what medication I need. Sure i may have to wait a week to get the test done and a month to see a consultant but my level of health care has nothing to do with my credit rating.

My company just transitioned into into our new Obamacare policy this past January. Now I pay $5/month more in premiums and instead of only paying a $20 copay per visit, I get to pay for the whole thing. Outside the routine like physicals or colonoscopies, nothing is covered until the $3000 per person deductible. I am paying more for my UNaffordable Care Act insurance and have now paid out more than $1000 in medical costs that used to be covered. Not to mention drugs which are not covered under my new policy unless I want to fork over another $36 per month.-My wife went to her doctor yesterday and he told her that he has diagnosed people with cancerous tumors who have had to forego treatment because their Obamacare doesn’t cover it.-I have yet to meet a doctor who thinks Obamacare is good.-I have abslutely nothing good to say about Obamacare. It is everything but affordable.

Guess what? You & the rest of the world have been getting bargain prices for prescription drugs for decades, because the American people have been paying the entire freight for all the drug research in the world! We have no price controls on drugs because the Republicans won’t allow them. So all the other countries control drug prices, so the cost of research must be made up somehow & we get the screwing!Plus, the US & New Zealand are the only two countries that allow drug ads on TV, which just raises the cost of the drugs. I don’t know why NZ allows them, but here it’s always given as a 1st Amendment issue. All the FDA needs to do is make them read all the warnings on the package insert & those 30-60 second ads will turn into 20 minute infomercials!

Do you suppose there is a good reason why many of the O-care mandates were put off until subsequent years?

Obamacare is Romneycare. A Republican plan to enrich pharma, hospital and insurance companies. Obamacare was written by Liz Fowler, from Well point Insuranc co. who worked for Sen Max Baucus from MT. after writing this piece of pro Business and anti consumer laws, Ms. Fowler went back to work for Well Point. Insurance Co.

written by the Insurance Co/Obamacare is their baby. and add all the other secret trade pacts under way right now. and you can see how Business is running Amerika and her Empire.

Free enterprise is a thing of the past, thanks to the Congress both R and D. as Calvin Cooledge said, "The business of Amerika is Business

Every time someone has come to me with baseless attacks on the ACA, I tell them that thanks to the ACA I am once again covered to receive medical treatment after my previous insurance company dropped me because of my preexisting condition; that I am self-employed and therefore I am the only one who pays into my monthly premiums; and that while I pay a little extra than I did for my previous insurer, my coverage is a lot better than what I used to receive.

After that, the attacker immediately shuts up.

So you make a product and for each malfunction (a 1 in 100,000 chance) in the absence of tort reform, you get sued for $10,000,000. It costs you several hundred million in R&D and another tens of millions in testing, paperwork and filing fees. You have a market of maybe 1,000,000 people who can use this product on a monthly basis.

The government tells you to sell it for $5 a shot. How long does it take to get your return on investment given an inflation rate of 2%.

The only way we’ll know if we’re overcharged is to open the books.

Frankly I think it the fault of your fore fathers. If they had ignored those pesky upstarts who demanded independence you could all have remained part the British Empire/Commonwealth.That way you would have free heath care, no stupid gun laws…or the NRA, cricket, cheese beer and tea that has taste, a genuine multi party democracy that is (almost) corruption free. Slavery would have ended sooner. No need for capital punishment ( no guns = almost no murders) and most of the world would still like you.But it’s all too late now as even if you ask nicely we won’t have you back.

You have your head so far up Obama’s butt you probably swallow for him.-Our old plan offered so much more than ObamaCare that it was considered a “Cadillac Plan” by your exalted liberal left. If left as it was my company would have been required to pay penalties because of it.-I never expect you to believe what I say because you can never seem to see the truth beyond your extreme left wing biased illusions. Facts are facts. I have no need to lie when the truth says it all. Perhaps you would like to pay my medical bills.-To date I have yet to meet anyone that likes Obamacare. That includes every doctor I’ve talked to.-Unfortunately I don’t see either of our two parties fixing the problems. There hasn’t been a decent party candidate for decades.

Prescription drug advertising in the US never was banned, but all of the fine print from the official drug product monograph had to be included in the ad if the drug name was mentioned. The cost of broadcast time and print space effectively made advertising brand name drugs not feasible. Ads were very cryptic, mentioning indications and treatment options with no drug names, but a prompt to ask your doctor/physician. Of course, many patients asked their pharmacist instead. If I had seen the ad, the target product was usually obvious. If not, the patient would regale me with a long second-hand impression of the ad, then get angry when I couldn’t identify the product.

I was initially glad when the restriction was lifted so that drugs could be advertised by name. Then, patients began to approach me to call their doctors for prescriptions for these drugs the advertising convinced them that they had to have. I simply referred them to their physicians for the needed workup, which made patients angry.

Now, just about any drug product you see or hear advertised is either not covered by insurance, or covered at the highest tier of copayment. Patients often succeed in obtaining prescriptions, but are subsequently flabbergasted by their out-of-pocket cost… and angry about it.

So what you’re saying is it is good business sense for a company to keep the same level of coverage for thousands of employees and then pay an additional penalty for each of those employees simply because they offer better coverage than what the gov’t mandates?--To you it makes complete sense for the gov’t to penalize companies that provide their employees with better health coverage?-To you it makes good business sense to reduce profit margin for the same level of coverage just so the gov’t can take more money for nothing?-Well….now I understand why you are liberal.
