cutting edge of entertainment technology?

I’m cutting the CableTV! I’ve got 62 channels and nothing decent on; plus many times there is exactly the same thing on several channels. I think TV is going the way of print media…. it will just take a generation or two before everyone gets on-board. SO after all of this; why does my CableTV bill go up every year!?

OK Danae, you are not quite the only important person in the universe; which must be a large disappointment. Maybe just not as precious as some poor souls you encounter. So just act your self or you might just grow up; which we wouldn’t want, would we.

Meh. Disqus has it’s share of problems. (In my case it’ll sometimes refuse to accept more characters after a paragraph reaches a certain length, or it’ll refuse to let me edit a posted message.)

I cut the cable(TV) at my house almost 14 years ago….satellite was cheaper and offered a better lineup of channels I have no time or desire to watch save BBCAmerica for Doctor Who fans….SciFi was good , so they “fixed” that.

I remember when we had a weather issue and the cable was out for three days. When I visited the website after a couple of days, there were plenty of annoyed messages from people who felt that by then they should have a better phone recording than “We have a problem and we’re working on it.”

Danse makes sense. Pleasantries are over. Now fix!

I can kinda relate — my computer died 16 days ago and we are just getting back to somewhere near normal. I don’t watch TV, so that’s not a suitable substitute.
