“Since we are a dog…”When i was a child we had a dog that would try to eat paper plates, as long as they had hamburger drippings on them.

If it smells like a burger, then who cares !Speaking of burgers, Fenton, a nice juicy Yak Burger with cheese would go real well with a pint of Guinness and a glass of Redbreast Irish – neat, no ice. Think that can be arranged ?Good dog..er …man ! I know you take the wrappers off yours.

No, but the country is crawling with KFCs ! My local mall ( yes, they actually have one where I live ) does have a Chili’s, though.Fenton, I’ve got Bev’s drink and put one in the well for Susan and Red. Get Bri one too, if he’s still lurking about.

I never thought I’d be signing books till 11 at night……

I thought I’d be embarrassed when only 3 people showed up.

    But there were thousands…..

I wondered why so many people were expecting so much from a book about low expectations….

It turns out the book only cost $1.27 and you can get $5 for a signed copy on eBay.

Why? Well…. because they show the picture in their eBay listings, of thousands of people waiting to buy it.

Sorry I was stuck there all day….. Thursday turned out to be no more whimsical than Wednesday….

But at least Stel brought me a cool costume….maybe I’ll save it for next Wednesday, though.

I wish I’d thought to tell my pals…. and in answer to Red’s question too….of course you guys don’t have to stand in line for a signed copy….If you really want a signed copy…

blush……. ask me any time….except for…maybe…. right now.

OK…. yes….the dogs that come into the Tiki are pretty sophisticated….and the burgers aren’t wrapped anyway….

But to the pet sort of dog…. if it smells like a hamburger…but golly it’s a hamburger.Bun, plate, wrapper, shirt, scarf….all hamburger, if a hamburger has been close enough. My little dog would tilt her head and sniff at my long hair, trying to decide exactly how close it had come …. (And no, I didn’t get actual food in it!)I’d look at her with knitted brows and say “Don’t you even think about it!”

I just brought up the Twist and such on YouTube and wanted to dance (could turn on the AC, as it’s 92 outside, but still have my screens open). Instead, I slipped into a suit and did a little walk around in the pool (w/umbrella for sun) cooled me off just fine so I danced 3 whole numbers (did not have more lined up) got my pulse to 113 for 15min but would prefer more. Just glad I’m alone for that (and no mirrors in my greatroom).

Sandra Mackin…. gosh…. thanks…. (and thanks, Stel, for explaining…. and whatchoo mean, we think we live on Ballard Street??!)

What I wrote was actually a book cover….and …um…. well, as Stel says, yesterdays strip and comments probably tell the tale.

We also have businesses, some of us many of them…plus cars, pets, and talents you may find unusual…And we gather a lot at the Tiki bar, which belongs to our elected Sheriff, Sheriff MonkeyBlues…(he really is a monkey.)

I also work there, usually till late into the night….stop by any time for some tasty yak ribs and banana daiquiris.

So you see, Sandra…. (oooh alliteration) if you comment at all in this lovely madness, you ARE part of the “in crowd”…or you would be, if we had one.

    Scared Cat…

Oh! You’re not far at all from BBSB&B….

Ballard Street is in every city….you just need to look for it.

The front entrance of Baby Bunnies Salon, Booties and Bustiers…. the other BBSB&S, is actually on Fitzwald….. only half a block north of Ballard St…Just go out that door and turn left….and left again on Ballard St….and you’re here.

It’s about a block and a half to the bookstore (which is, of course, a bowling shirt and liquor store too)…but today I’m at my salon…about another block…. and it’s a short walk from there to the Tiki….where I’ll be once again supervising the night shift.

If you see lots of sand dunes and a volcano…. you must be looking east….

That’s actually just low hills and a slight plume of color-changing glitter, emanating from x_Tech’s laboratory and factory….

But…. er….where’s this place called Lonely Street?

X…. maybe you accidentally downloaded the eBay Nap instead of the app…..

Apparently a lot of new Win8 users do that….along with trying to find the talk button on the giant smartphone interface.

And of course, I find that new interface very “charm”-ing….all I can say is, for now, better you than me….

    Though…. sigh…. I see my day coming.

Meanwhile I’m holding on to 7 with all my might….. sticking some of those little aero windows in my pockets every day….saving them to try to glue on if I do have to get a new Win8 machine….

I hear they don’t come with any.

Why do they invent something great and then take it all away?

    Oh! I know…. $$$$

Love tomatoes in a bustier! Yesterday was discussing progress with my diet and future plans about changes when the year is done and about sleep habits too. And I told him ( well, HE DID ASK! and I sleep very well ) so now I can have some fruit back in my diet. I am having 1/2 lime squeezed every morning into ice water w/stevia and I can have some low sugar fruits (apples this week) but not every day. They need no added sugar if I nuke them with a heap of cinnamon (yummy after either breakfast or supper). He was also encouraging about my fantasy life ;-D

Rusty Boy is about to answer Donald’s rhetorical question with a definitive and finite barfing bark from one end and hound dog howling from the other. Shirley has cautioned Donald on several occasions concerning his menu choices for Rusty Boy. Unfortunately for Rusty Boy, grilled chicken and gorgonzola salad is one of his favorite treats; whose gastric consequences are rivaled only by the cottage cheese, salami, pickle and pineapple breakfast special, served with mashed potatoes and seven day old three bean salad. That particular morning’s trek into the great unknown left Rusty Boy marooned in the garage for three days, where he encountered intermittent fits of watering eyes and muscle cramps. At Shirley’s command, Donald redeemed his Home Depot’s 40% off all high pressure cleaning equipment coupon and power sprayed everything in the garage below four feet from the ceiling. The event actually made the second page in the Bowling League Bulletin and was considered pretty funny across the neighborhood until the Fish, Game and Soil Conservation Unit from the Parks Department began an investigation into the dead animal smells. Shirley went back to Toledo to visit her sisters and Rusty Boy stayed the night at Paws, Pets and Friends Kennels, and rumor has it Donald spent the night a Ralph’s boat house, again.
