Who’s fall? The fall of that ‘falling’ star beside him on the beach? Or the falling comet that killed the dinosaurs? It would be too early for him to celebrate the fall of the Roman Empire wouldn’t it?
We celebrate the changing foliage colors, then naturally, mumble about having to do the pick up. We also sometimes celebrate the news of the fall of a dictator but those are usually somewhere else and of no harm to us.
However, we also tolerate political tyrants and allow them free access to public media when we could ‘behead’ them by just dropping their activities from the Hollywood style news broadcasts that make even crabgrass [about the same level of brains] sound like a major event.
I suppose it’s the sad fate of statues of any famous figure, that they will eventually be destroyed, or at least desecrated, by people who need a helpless target of their outrage.

This strip started with a lot of religious references, didn’t it? Could it be “The Fall” of Adam and Eve?

In the autumn, we bury them in fallen leaves then jump on ’em.

What’s this about a comet destroying Dina Shores?

All empires experience that. And ours is doomed to repeat it.

Yep … That’s how it’s usually done … Suppose it would have been better to ask “How do you like to celebrate Autumn.”
