I saw it, too, and for some reason just totally missed the sleeve lines. Once you see them, it’s obvious.
I’m quite sure Ayn Rand couldn’t have cared less about the “literary community”. PBS had a series last summer about choosing the top 100 most-loved novels of all time. Atlas Shrugged was #20. I do agree her writing style was a bit cringe-worthy, but the message is what resonates with so many people.
