Re panel 2: I used to know a cat that would sit on the edge of the bathtub with its tail hanging into the water, and then appear to wonder why it felt uncomfortable.
My black cat was named Meow, because he didn’t make that sound.
He’d gently tap my arm to wake up to see every full moon or beautiful night sky. Sat on my lap every Halloween as we gave out candy. Loved to play hide and seek, and did the cat tippy toes walk if you surprised him.
Every time I made the beds, he’d run into the room and dive in between as the top sheet was lofted up and floating down. Also liked to play catch on the bed, intentionally landing among all the pillows.
Anything with a motor, he’d wait on edge for it to start, then do that cartoon rug-bunching run. Always waited to see if he could dive off the counters quicker than the water bottle spray.
I used to have a garden tub, but now I have a Roman jetted tub. My Siamese used to always walk around the edge of the tub, until one day he fell in. No more tub walking for him!

Great strip! All of my long-ago cats would have agreed.
On an unrelated note, this is also National Dumb-ss. Day. No joke.

Remember folks, before making cat casserole you are to soak the cat in spring water for 3 days beforehand.

If you’ll focus your Pucker meter on that third cat, I think you’ll find it pegged.
That’s how I calibrate mine.
