   What I will NEVER understand is WHY the US is STILL enforcing federal wages for servers and just give them minimum wages and allow them to take tips and just declare a portion of them. Servers only make $2.18 an hour and that’s INSANE.

   I was asked politely when I first read April lifting the gate with the stick the thread of this story line to please remove it was a lot of the readers here are new readers and might not realise this is an archived and lovingly repeated cartoon. Lynn retired a long time ago but has been colouring some of her beloved strips. I was so blown away by how she literally ended the whole story line it was a whole new level of respect and how she had continuously broken the ceiling on cartoonists. Female. Changing and ongoing story lines and creative. Subjects that NO ONE drew about at the time she was doing it daily and weekly in newspapers across North America and published in her collection of books…

   She has caused me over the decades to shed quite a few tears of joy and angst and love towards her amazing stories that she spun out of some similar situations during her younger life. <3 <3 <3

   And in Forrest Gumps words, “and that’s all I’m gonna say about that” <3

   My English husband and I just said, Diane Lee that he only cares about himself. NO ONE ELSE. And that those who are rabidly supporting him don’t seem to be aware of this or are deliberately oblivious. Or don’t care. Or are happily oblivious. Or all of the above. (sigh) tunnel vision

   Arlo is comfortable with who he is and within himself. Janis is too aware of herself and needs to accept that she has a grown son and move in with her life. We all get old eventually. It’s what’s inside our hearts and inner self that matters. I am 71 walking firmly now into 72 and in the last quarter of my life and feel within meself that I am in my mid-30’s. My body? Not so much AT ALL. Our parts don’t regenerate. All we are is dust in the wind <3 Enjoy it while we CAN.

   he doesn’t RESPOND to no. He doesn’t REALISE that when he caused the insurection, he was PRIVATE CITIZEN tRump. And NO president has immunity. They are NOT above the law and historically NO president in our country has EVER had a president who did this crap. We need to QUIT giving the bully attention and turn our backs and get on with life best we can. I ain’t holding my breath and I’m now in the last quarter of MY life. (I still vote because I have gray matter that WORKS quite well)

   um, two words, dear, Grecian Formula…and I know a LOT of men who hit mid-life crisis and boot black their beards their hair and it’s disgusting. Own it. My old DOG for pity’s sake was jet black with a patch of white on her belly, near her little twot, and 6 white hairs at the end of her magnificent tail (she was just 40 pounds and a Heinz 57 <3 <3 ) My sweet and goofus Titch lived longer than any dog I’ve EVER had my whole life of pets (I am 71)… to 14.

   She had SO many white hairs mingled in with her black at the end of her time, that her appearance was a bit startling.

   But she was still my old girl <3 Put her down in September to give her dignity because she was developing serious dementia. I still miss her. My friend has a good smart phone and took an amazing last photo of her sitting on our back porch deck in reflection and had it printed out for me. It’s mounted above the nose and paw prints the vet sent me after I had to let her cross the rainbow bridge. And the sympathy card that came with it.

   interesting when cartoonists who allow their characters to be like real people and age change things up. On Between Friends, Maeve’s assistant, Helen who is a mature older woman close to retirement age decided to not colour her hair,and went with it natural it was white. And Lundy is still working on a good plausable thread. Lets hope that Jimmy Johnson doesn’t cave and allows Janis to grow within herself and be natural. She’s been realising things lately as she ages as it is <3 <3

   I want to know if they still make the move and start a new chapter!

   also my English husband says the easiest question is if you don’t want ANYONE to come here, then why keep insisting it’s the best country in the whole world? It’s NOT the best country and hasn’t been for a very long time…and as someone who had hopes and aspirations of a better WORLD, how naive I was and how sad it shows me I didn’t really see the forest for the trees. As the insightful Robin Williams pointed out, reality, what a concept. (not to mention George Carlin pointed out years ago where this was always going…I would have loved to see George sink his observational teeth into the orange skin bag though…)
