^ What, against capitalism now, are we? Didn’t we want to open up those markets, flood their potential consumers with our products? Oops, did we get the tables turned on us? So, now suggesting protectionism? We’re such poor capitalists. Tch, tch, tch…
Just wait a generation or two and the world will flatten a bit more. We can all become producers as well as consumers and the world will be a fairer place (unless you’re in Africa in which case wait another couple more generations. Or more). Or unless the climate dictates otherwise.
Our empire is falling only because we collectively ignore the thousands of pages of written warnings bequeathed to us by the people who created our government.
We Americans were supposed to defend our Constitution from all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC, yet we allowed a treasonous, traitorous underclass to arise among us who claimed the Constitution had no fixed meaning, and could be ignored or reinterpreted at will–with no Amendment process necessary.
This underclass is today simply called “The Left”, and it is THEM who weakened and will eventually destroy what was once the greatest, most powerful nation on Earth.
When China spends our dollars, a trillion we owe them, our currency will go down and China up. Stuff will double and triple for us to purchase their goods………..so we start production of our own goods. What a idea. Balanced trade.
right kurt. Can we start that NOW? Maybe give out jobs rather than unemployment checks? Yech, it will balance out in time. And about Africa, what happened to all the monetary aid sent to these governments? Did they use it to upgrade the people or to buy guns to keep them in subjection?
Yes all empires fall. I hope you just love the one being built for you (I’m OLD, I’ll be dead)
