    Pledges are unconstitutional: they require the candidate to put loyalty to, say, a Norquist before their constituents. Any intelligent person realizes that there are not hard and fast solutions to something as complex as the US.

    Solar panels above the roadway could power the roads and the infrastructure around them. Failure comes when imagination is dependent on profit. Even Columbus was publicly funded.

    The post office was supposed to be run like a business. Ever since then, it has been deteriorating- both as a job and as a service. Fannie and Freddie started out as public corporations, too. W Bush touted his business school acumen and did a soft shoe shuffle on the White House stairs when McCain kept him waiting after the MBA president crashed the economy. Goppers! sheesh. whiners, blamers, followers of Norquist. historically and scientifically in error.
