Well, he got one, anyway. Way to go down fighting and good way to pull focus from Holly and Doc.

I’m not sure he’s dead. Brave? No question. But stars are typically used in strips to imply pain, not death. This character might be a keeper.

He isn´t dead yet, the stars just indicate being hurt by the fall.

I bet those machine guns are pretty loud. I bet with fox ears like that, he is wishing he had some form-fitting ear-pro right now.

Brave fox, if he lives through this he Would have broken both eardrums and may never hear again.Good thought Salen. I think any animal , their tails will go bushy, piloerect? when faced with danger. His tail looks bushier than it did. we know this about cats, but pretty sure it happens with most critters.

Machine gun barrels get hot REAL fast. Let’s see how long he can hold on if he grabs them again.

Simon may be crazy like a fox, but he’s fighting the good fight. We can’t let him end this way!

These machines look a little like a PT’s remote flyer. Someone may be operating them remotely, and not have the maneuverability and response time an autonomous machine would have. The fox has a chance.

This fox can’t be a casual citizen. Judging by his attack, it appears he has knowledge of these flying hunters. So…how long have these things been deployed? There’s apparently an “underground” group already. And the fox is part of it(he knows of the entrance). How bad have things been outside the controlled confines of Merryvale 15, and for how long?

Who said that these were machine guns? They have beam weapon technology by this time. The beam weapons would have the advantage of leaving ash behind, not a body to be disposed of before innocent bystanders see it.

Doesn’t anyone think the guns on these drones might be related to the “napalm rifles” the proto-topsiders had back at Holly’s house?

How did The Fox know how to make the proto-scout fire on the other proto-scout? I think The Fox survives, at least for a little while.

I still think Fox is either Marx, a Marx like incarnation for this dimension, possibly a shape shifter (mutants might trust another mutant more than a human), possibly an avatar with substance or, and I don’t know much about this archetype, but what is a “Q”?

I was going to suggest that these drones use some sort of explosive round but that doesn’t make sense for what would probably be an antipersonnel weapon. They may be some sort of plasma cannons or some other sort of energy weapon.

I’m fairly certain that we’ll see Marx again… he’s almost a Dr. Who type character in his own right… and you know how hard it is to kill the doctor.
