    To anyone reading this. I just came back to the beginning once more to read this comic through. Every day it gets better and better. Come join us on an adventure that you never want to end. Mr. Neathery is a genius and it shows here. This is truly one wild and wonderful ride.

    Just four comments? Huh, I guess the strip gained popularity as time went on.

    I started reading this strip in 2011, on a whim (lost lots of studying time, but it was time well spent). Infatuated, I came back to the first strip (writing and artistic style changes over time, but not that much in art as I can see), but it certainly fulfills a sense of nostalgia to see the very beginning, not just the beginning to one of the many wonderful and continuing story arcs, but number one…

    @Dennis Moore

    These older strips were originally published on another website. When they were transferred here the comments did not come along.

    Diving into this comic for the second time. I enjoyed it a lot the first time through. Going to even more this time I am sure. Fascinating little world that’s been created here.

    I’m doing a second read through too. What ever happened to those two? The memory isn’t what it used to be!

    This is my second (or third?) time thru as well. I remember this part but not further along. Maybe I skipped or maybe it’s senior moments.

    In any case, although Aaron talks about moving the archives here I’m not sure if this is the true beginning or not. The ref on (among others), page http://www.moderntales.com/comics/endtown.php?view=toc returns a Modern Tales page titled “Modern Tales 2002 – 2012” which is quite a bit earlier than this one. I suspect it covers some back story that we are missing. However, even without the back story the trip is great.

    If there is more, I don’t want to know… this strip makes a great introduction.
