Oh man. Is that photographer using an Instamatic, with a flash cube?

Awesome. It’s fitting that one of those would have survived the end of the world.

And how did the rats know that there was cheese in the house. Without advance information, they had no right to harass the house or Holly. What ever happened to the good old warrant . Doesn’t exist . Sigh. Aaron did warn us that they were going to get in some deep fecals . Not all rat .Blessed Be

“What ever happened to the good old warrant .”The High Council issued a verbal warrant to the rats. That’s all they needed to go to town.

Oh, and when my house had a rat invasion due to the old lady who lived behind me being unable to clean her house until her son came in and did the whole “disinfect everything and then cart Mom off to the ‘home’” thing, I noticed them rats getting into everything in the basement/pantry, but not cheese.

Off the subject: As my most despised weekend arrives, I have a question of absolutely no value. Does Endtown go on Daylight Savings Time? If so, why?In case anyone wonders why I don’t like it, when I go to work the alarm rings at 4:00 AM. That’s early enough on normal time.I brought this up just for the fun of it.

I’ll bet there are a lot more “closet perverts”, enjoying those products, then anyone suspects..

The implication of Wally’s statements is that Wally (and maybe everyone else) does not know about the cake.

At least Wally is now using his head for something other than a punching bag. What he is suggesting is an underground mutant food network working out of sight of the general knowledge or just not talked about generally. To much SCANDAL if it got out old lady Markum (the goat mutant) gives her milk to make a yummy goat cheese. She is a highly respected member of the Endtown elite.Things may be coming to light. The soft underbelly of Endtown exposed. Scandalous, simply scandalous.(Cant wait till Monday)

kneejerk reaction is a poor judge, just because something seems “icky” doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

I’m new to this strip, but I know it has long story arcs. Can someone tell me when this storyline started or how I can find beginning so I can read it all?

When the camera guy said “Okay, Hold it” I laugh because I use to say “Hold WHAT??” when someone would say that.

A general reply on the notion of Daylight Savings Time: I’m inclined to the notion that the US government does it for the reason I assigned to the High Council—-because they can. It’s a display of power. The offered explanations were all just rationalization, masking the true purpose.

One other thing. About the cameraman…he may not be as toothy as he once was, but is his name still Lazlo?

Considering Dottie’s question in panel four, who would eat cheese when you really consider the source whether animal, human or mutant? That would be a vegan’s arguement. Would that be Allgood’s argument?A trial with a real impartial jury may be the best way to decide this issue. I like Aaron’s way of getting us all out of our comfort zones concerning various issues.

You know I just realized, going out and doing that gathering of jurors is so RAT like. Just go get them and struggling or complaining was futile. I was glad I was not the one wanting the jury trial as the jurors would nearly always go against him. They were mad for him causing this and not just paying the fine for speeding when caught and admit to it. Just want to explain their side. The gathered jurors did not want to hear that. One told him “Pay the damn fine and be done with it.”

Anybody else see the similariy between this storyline and Les Miserables? 19 years in jail for a loaf of bread vs. the death penalty for a cake? (BTW, please doen’t kill Holly! She’s so cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!!!)

“It’s a planted trap for the rats and High Council. There is no reserves, but now they come looking and will be caught in the act of violating citizens rights.”If you’re talking about the reserves Wally mentions, then, yes, there were her reserves of cheese. She gave some to Wally back when he was in the hospital with a contusion. And the rats most likely did find them while busting the place up. They probably found milk in Maude’s apartment, too. Given the Endtown blackmarket, Allgood’s High Council members know full well what can be found if they start authorizing full-scale raids across the colony. Many Endtowners would panic over the thought and oppose the raids for fear of being found guilty of possessing contraband.

I suspect something simple like, “cheese is cheese” could become a rallying cry for the “lets use what we got crowd”.They need a good name, maybe “Produce with Dignity” or some such. And depending on how wide spread the underground produce crowd is, Allgood and Co. may have miscalculated their level of support, and/or how much strong arming they can get away with.
