It's the End of Civilization as we know it. A mutagenic plague followed by a global war fought with disintegration weaponry has left much of the Earth a desert of fine powder and what remains of humanity fragmented into humans, animal-like mutants and bloodthirsty monstrosities with lots of teeth. The surface, still teeming with the mutagenic virus, has become the domain of the dreaded Topsiders; well-organized, technologically advanced, and heavily armed un-mutated humans sworn to exterminate mutations of any kind in order to clear the way for the eventual resurgence of a new, genetically clean humanity. Faced with annihilation, mutants and "impure" humans have retreated into the depths of the planet to form communities and hope to win, or at least survive, what may prove to be mankind's final war. Endtown is the continuing story of one of those communities.

Oh man. Is that photographer using an Instamatic, with a flash cube?
Awesome. It’s fitting that one of those would have survived the end of the world.

And how did the rats know that there was cheese in the house. Without advance information, they had no right to
harass the house or Holly. What ever happened to the good old warrant . Doesn’t exist . Sigh. Aaron did warn us that they were going to get in some deep fecals . Not all rat .

“What ever happened to the good old warrant .”
The High Council issued a verbal warrant to the rats. That’s all they needed to go to town.

Rats always seem to find cheese. What they need is a good rat trap with the proper bait to snare a few.

Peanut butter always worked better on rodents in my experience.

yeah, but unfortunately, peanut plants didn’t mutate along with the others…

Some jealousy could be espoused
For someone who has some “reserves”
When envy of folks is aroused
In instincts, that basest one serves
But Holly, so far, is well-liked
This might help her stay in good stead
Although reputations get spiked
When someone up high wants you dead

Oh, and when my house had a rat invasion due to the old lady who lived behind me being unable to clean her house until her son came in and did the whole “disinfect everything and then cart Mom off to the ‘home’” thing, I noticed them rats getting into everything in the basement/pantry, but not cheese.

Off the subject: As my most despised weekend arrives, I have a question of absolutely no value. Does Endtown go on Daylight Savings Time? If so, why?
In case anyone wonders why I don’t like it, when I go to work the alarm rings at 4:00 AM. That’s early enough on normal time.
I brought this up just for the fun of it.

Agreement and condolences. To my, an evening and sometimes night shift worker, I love to work this coming Sunday overnight. put in 7 hours, get paid for 8. Hate the Fall Back weekend, in for 9, paid for 8. But getting up for the morning shift SUCKS!
