Right (of course). Hephalump hates anything that’s actually good for people and double-hates it when it simultaneously insists that his owners and masters cary their share of the load.
It’s absolutely the truth that Republicans hate FDR. Not only because he used government to improve people’s lives (instead of insisting they do it on their own while the economy crashed), but FDR was a member of the ‘aristocratic’ level of society, and was therefore a ‘class traitor’. Unforgivable…
I may not know much about being a caring, thinking human being….But I know I hate:Those people who will probably vote democratic..Poor people…People that don’t have insurance…Educated thinking people..Everyone that’s not Qpublican
Shouldn’t the name badge read EOJ with backwards letters? And while some may compare Biden with FDR, the Previous Occupant managed to make Hoover, Buchanan, and Harding look good by comparison.
During the 1920’s and 1930’s, communism was looked upon by many in the U.S. as a viable alternative to decadent Capitalism. FDR was consciously trying to SAVE Capitalism, to make it respond to the negative consequences of economic downturns. repubs merely overlook that fact.
The Heffalumps REALLY hate the fact that we now have a calm, efficient PRESIDENT who quietly goes about the day to day tasks of governing ALL Americans, and trying to do his best to help ALL Americans improve their lot, no matter how much opposition he gets from the other side, rather then a ranting, raving, moronic Wanna-be DICTATOR who spews nonsensical Tweets at all hours of the day and night and ONLY wanted to help the rich get richer at the expense of everyone else!
Reading Conrad Black’s “Franklin Delano Roosevelt: Champion of Freedom” exposed many of the nuances of FDR’s New Deal and showed how he strongly embraced capitalism to give dignity to the working class as well as save the free market. Personally, I find it hard to see why the Republicans feel hatred for him as he probably saved their core capatilist economic ideology from extinction.
Republicans don’t pretend to have a governing agenda. They don’t have any interest in this country’s future- they only care about what they can drain from it today.
We are supposed to have a government of, for, and by the people, not simply greedy billionaires, while the rest of us fight over the scraps. Struggling people who vote Republican only do so because they would rather suffer than allow people they hate get any help.
Yep. FDR made America great and Conservatives hate that. Doesn’t matter if they’re a registered Republican or Democrat; if they leaned Conservative or right of center Moderate, they hate the Social Democratic policies that improved American quality of life.
Hypocrisy and lies are the default settings, the established standard, and explicit practice of the Republican party. No one should be surprised at this by now. Everyone should be waving placards reading “GOP: lies and hypocrisy—standard practice.” And ignorance, let’s not forget the GOP’s persistently proud ignorance.
The Republican Party never forgave FDR for actually using the power of the federal government to help the lives of millions of down-and-out Americans. They are now truly the party of the ignorant, the privileged and the selfish.
“The era of big government is over,” POTUS Bill Clinton famously declared in his 1996 State of the Union address.
versus:
Biden has consciously cloaked himself in the legacy of FDR, to hark back to an earlier age of liberalism when government pulled the country out of despair.
I know Sen. Cornyn wanted this to be a slam on Pres. Biden. But damn! to me that’s a ringing endorsement of his policies. I mean, who doesn’t want to be pulled out of despair?

Is Rob just alluding to another Democrat who had to come in and clean up a Republicans mess? Well, I guess we can all see that pattern.
