The “reparations” remark was just silly and not representative of the Black Lives Matter movement. There will always be criminals who do not care how their actions hurt the true believers. Painting them all with same brush is the mark of a small mind, incapable of making distinctions.

While some in Chicago engage in theft, Donald Trump openly makes moves to steal the election for President of the United States. Which criminal action does Ramirez work to focus attention upon?

Ramirez is focused on one misguided person’s statement while completely ignoring the 20K+ lies and countless errors made by Trump. Get that plank outta your eye Ramirez. (Biblical reference – ask someone to explain it to you)

Obviously, some looters in Chicago making rationalizations hardly qualifies as the official position of a movement. I used to be opposed to reparations, however, as I’ve learned more about history I’m coming around. It’s not about slavery from 150 years ago, it’s the denial of freedom and blocking all attempts to vote and succeed and accumulate wealth in the intervening years. The 1889 land rush to Oklahoma to get a land grant? Blacks were denied, and therefore not able to build wealth on real estate. After putting their lives on the line in this country, why didn’t they take advantage of GI bill to get higher education? Blacks were denied. When they did succeed individually, why didn’t they buy houses in nicer neighborhoods? Due to redlining (by, among others, the slumlord Fred Trump), they were denied that right. When the got around all the barriers and created their own successful black economies, they were destroyed, burned to the ground and their business owners murdered by the score by white rioters because they were drawing black business away from white enterprises. Maybe it’s time we gave them a chance to improve their fortunes.

Nah… they could loot for years and it still wouldn’t scratch the surface of what is owed as far as reparations. Of course it will never be paid because America never keeps its word when it comes to its black citizens. But the lady who said that was misguided… Its not the businesses’ (many of which could be black owned) responsibility for paying reparations… that’s like somebody stealing my house car money and belongings… and then I go and steal a candy bar from someone else and then try to justify it.

Ah, how pitiful. Ramirez never learned critical thinking. He’s listened to Trump et all for so long even Jabberwocky sounds reasonable to him.

The rich can loot more than the poor can ever imagine.

You see things; and you say “Why?” But I dream things that never were; and I say “Why not?”
