I like working from home. I recently had a video conference with my boss. His was a rather nondescript spare bedroom. Mine is a corner office with a view of a lake.

To be fair, my wife and I are empty nesters and have more bedrooms than we need. The mortgage is paid off so we would gain little by downsizing.

A cop from the town I lived in called embezzling the crime du jour. A former girlfriend, who was an architect got ripped off for $150,000; which turned into $300,000. Her secretary was recording payments to various contractors while the whole time the secretary was giving the money to herself. When the contractors eventually came for their money, my girlfriend was not only out of the $150,000, she had to come up with another $150,000 to pay them. Turned out the secretary had been arrested years before for the same crime in a different town. She eventually killed herself while in jail.

Wilson has gotten real comfortable in his job.

His wife thinks he’s doing a great job.

For lesser crimes you go to prison. For grand larceny, you go to Congress.

Personally, I would say, Wilson is doing very well as a bookkeeper.
