I wonder if, like the “mutagenic plague”, anyone is immune..?

Are the Topsiders gonna be written out of the story soon?

Terrifying to see the Topsiders go insane one by one. Wally & Co. will be able to escape in the total chaos and confusion.

There doesn’t seem to be any opportunity for resistance to this thing.

What’s with the extreme head tilt in panel 3?

And, what, he’s gonna stab him with a flame?

And – how many of us thought we might see an explanation of the Topsider’s remark to Wally today? Mr. Neathery keeps us in suspense once again.

The scratch that lasts a lifetime…

Panel Three is rather painful to watch… And now I’m feeling an itch.

And so Ted flipped another switch on a new toy…

Well, so much for getting help from outside.

Uhh dude? He said “Scratch!”

“You scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours.”

The way this particular bit is framed makes the downfall of Topsider society read a bit like a bloody Three Stooges skit, and I’m not sure if that was intentional.
