Well, it seems that “new guy” is the most suspicious, just as many of us were thinking.

I replied to some stuff tonight going back 8 days. This was a busy week for me and I often didn’t have time to read everything.

Coffy has narrowed the field of suspects. If I were “the new guy” I would make tracks right after I get notice to see the boss. Even if it aint him it will be a hard sell. Hope he is up to it.

Since we’ve jumped right back into the brewing doings of Coffy and his mugs, I’m kinda wondering if Thursday’s quick Matt/Dot interlude was meant as a more-or-less resolution of their part in the story. Sure, it’d leave a bunch of loose ends hanging (again), but at least we wouldn’t have to look at his goofy eye anymore, which seems a fair trade-off….

Tracy and gang know where the chairs came from, why aren’t they in there arresting?

3-COFFY: Where’s our other driver? We gotta keep this raise-talk out of his ear or he’ll want one too.

LOOGIE: Oh, Studman? Didn’t you know? He works for free! He says this job keeps him out of trouble. Or maybe he said out of jail…Anyway, we don’t have to pay him!

COFFY: Why can’t we find more employees like that! What a guy!

Where’s the new guy? You know, the guy who wrote “police informant” under previous positions in his job application.

If New Driver doesn’t have a loudly buzzing “spidey sense,” he may find himself in Big Trouble, facing the wrath of Coffyhead for ratting out the operation.

But, did he? Luigi was awfully quick to dismiss those other two drivers after what the one said in panel 1 about their not knowing the destinations “until Luigi sends us out”! And he looks relieved in panel 3 that Coffyhead seems to have concluded that New Driver is the rat-fink….

It always either the butler or “the new guy”.
