I wonder if we’ll see a shoebox diorama of the inventor of shoebox dioramas.

Sylvester Graham came up with his cracker as an anti-aphrodisiac.

What’s next: blind man Louis Braille making the reading/writing system for the blind? I hope Petey didn’t get a C- for the same reason.

I cannot say how relieved I am to see that Petey is present to oversee the seeing of the dioramas. Yesterday, I had feared Alice, Beni, and Dill would go at them without Petey being around to protect his Art! Sylvester Graham is an interesting study, Petey.

Some day, Petey will be working in one of the great museums of the world, creating dioramas of life on Mars, for example.

How can Graham crackers be trivial? They are the salvation of civilization!

Sorry, but unless they’re wrapped around chocolate and marshmallow, Graham Crackers are the pits. Dry, nasty, gaggy — blech! But that’s just me — your results may vary.

Cinamon grahams with peanut butter and strawberry jelly and a dash of white pepper. (Yes, there was a party going on….but it worked)

A very, very detailed diorama should always get an A.

@Doctor Toon – I totally agree! I snack on graham crackers when I want something crunchy and not too sweet or fattening. Been enjoying them all my life (they’ve been around a long time!) Hail Sylvester Graham!

Speaking of no soul, my older daughter made a diorama of the hobbits wrapped up in thread and hanging like cocoons, in the giant spider’s lair. Their feet and little wisps of their hair were showing. The spider lurked beneath. The creation was made of papier-mâché and looked foreboding. I thought it was the darlingest thing ever.. The teacher gave my daughter a C. Other students who had slick, plasticky dioramas that their parents may have helped them with, made A’s. Grr. (Of course, I was prejudiced.)

Bill Mitchell’s contribution to “Team Cul de Sac” is a shoebox diorama of the Cul de Sac cast. Very classy!

Graham crackers dunked in milk… mmm! The art of this is to figure out how long to keep them submerged so they are thoroughly “sponged” but not too long that the dunked part gives out and goes slpashing back into the milk. (GC-101)
