    I just realized that Alix and her snorkel are in very good company this week. The 40-years-ago Doonesbury flashbacks are about Walden Puddle, and today Zonker is snorkeling in the puddle and pretending to be a U-boat. The tiny puddle has clearly expanded to fit his imagination. And all this week, Hammy was visiting a giant squid in the depths of a sidewalk puddle on Over the Hedge. I love the “bigger inside than out” magics. I wish I had a room like that in my house. :-)
