And Earl’s under the delusion that it’s not his bed, his sheet or his laundry!

He’s “helping Opal”, just like men who “babysit” their own kids.

Ah, the age old tactic of getting out of a task you don’t like forever — do it so badly that your spouse forbids you from doing it ever again. Mission Accomplished! Way to go Earl.

Fitted sheets do look like “scrunchies”.I know how to fold them because of JC P’s in the 60’s also.

The ability to fold a fitted sheet is one of those traits controlled by a gene that is not duplicated on the Y chromosome. So men, bless their hearts, can’t do it any more than they can give birth or remember to pick up tampons.

When fitted sheets first came out, magazines ran articles on how to fold them. It involves inverting the corners of one side into the opposite, etc. Oh, never mind. It is a secret that only females of “a certain age” know how to do.

Also, bit of history, when fitted sheets first arrived on the scene, we happily bought fitted top sheets. That meant just the bottom edge was fitted. This was fine until people with the above mentioned Y chromosome threw hissy fits because they couldn’t stick a foot out at night. Apparently menlike to sleep with one foot free so they can break and run, if need be. Must go back to cave man days. Never the t’wain shall meet.

The way I fold fitted sheets, I can always tell which are the fitted sheets and which are the flat sheets when looking in my closet. ;-) The most frustrating thing is, my sheets came in a box set, so I KNOW the fitted sheet CAN be folded. aarrrgghh…

Earl should go to Martha Stewart’s web site. I am sure she must have directions on how to fold a fitted sheet. Or is that too much trouble for him?

My female neighbor is 84 and she’s the only one in the world who can fold a fitted sheet perfect.

YouTube has videos to show you how it’s done. I’m gonna try it next time I do laundry. Which should be around Washington’s Birthday.

I can fold a fitted sheet. You just fold the non-elastic portion, and let the elastic flaps fall into place. It’s so easy, it blows my mind that some can’t seem to figure it out.

Why would you fold & store clean sheets when you can just put them right on the bed. When they’re dirty you can squash them up and put them in the laundry. Storing dirty sheets is easier than storing clean ones. :-)
