Let’s look at the relationship between Bets and Gunther from Gunther’s viewpoint. He finally found someone that valued him for his talents—sewing, cosplay. After years of people making fun of him, he thought he’d found someone who wanted to be around him for stuff HE did. I mean his last girlfriend almost had him move to a country whose language he didn’t speak, trying to help people he didn’t understand. So of course she seemed like an ideal girlfriend. She, on the other hand, only saw him as a kind of sewing machine. Tiff, however, doesn’t seem to understand that you have to do what your customer wants, not what you want. So neither of the women has got their shit together. The result was poor Gunth got walked all over and is trying to figure out what HE did wrong, which was in fact nothing. Just being himself.
