Unions are the cornerstone of fair and balanced capitalism. Without them society will eventually devolve into feudalism…and fascism.

Unions ensure good compensation to workers. They are necessary.

This is obviously in reference to the workers at VW in Tennessee voting for UAW representation. Predictably, the GQP is spreading its usual lies about unions to try to influence the voting. I hope these auto workers are smart enough to see through that BS. By revenue, VW is the 12th largest company in the world in the 2023 list, and with the exception of the U.S., most of its workers are union members.

Unions are the only choice for the American working class. Congress is not doing much to defend us from the ever-growing pressures of the Billionaire-Investor class.

They want it for personal gains

CEOs make hundreds of times more than their employees. This is a travesty. They threaten and intimidate the people with rising prices when their employees need a raise to pay for the bare essentials of food, clothing and a roof. Unions have helped the workers to overcome the problem. Higher wages should not be blamed for inflation. Profits are way up and a major part of inflation is because of the greed of corporations, not decent wages. The wealthy have used the tax breaks to buy back their own stocks or buying luxury items instead of investing in their employees who are the source of their company’s prosperity. The “trickle down” effect does not work and has stagnated our economy instead of making us prosperous. Giving employees more money stimulates the economy because they spend it on goods and services rather than hoarding it.

The kings of division, the Republican’t party, is projecting again.

Like honesty, compassion, honor, decency, empathy, the concept of unity is not only inconceivable to the republicon magats but is antithetical to their goals.

FIB, holding a criminal (trump) accountable for his crimes isn’t fear. It’s the rule of law.

Average worker pay up 15% in last 25 years. Average CEO pay up over 1300% in same time frame. Reagan started destroying unions in 1980s. Connect the dots.

Union families are united in Bidenomics also…The five presidents before Biden saw overall food prices rise from 5.3% (under Trump) to 12.3% (under George H.W. Bush) during their first three years in office.

By contrast, in Biden’s first three years, food prices increased by 20.3%. That rise stemmed from the same causes that drove overall inflation higher — supply-chain difficulties exacerbated by policies Biden pursued early in his presidency. The biggest increase during Biden’s first three years was for cereals and bakery goods, 25.6%. Nonalcoholic beverage prices also rose faster than food inflation overall, 21.4%. Why Biden for Prison? Unions can be good, enabling their members to negotiate a fair wage and better working conditions.

Unions can be bad, mindlessly protecting EVERY member, even when those members are weak or corrupt (some teachers, some police).

As Volkswagen workers in Tennessee began voting on whether to join the United Auto Workers, progressive critics on Wednesday continued to call out six Southern GOP governors for jointly saying they “are highly concerned about the unionization campaign driven by misinformation and scare tactics that the UAW has brought into our states.”

Unions and the GI Bill are responsible for the development of the middle class in this country. Do you think corporations, with the help of the Republican Party, want to destroy unions because they want to pay you more?

Union leaders should be prosecuted under RICO laws.

Despite all attempts to conceal the actual machinations and appearances, there are only two kinds of real political power — organized people or organized money.

Organized money will always try to disrupt people and prevent them from organizing, usually by pitting one group against another.

Having groups battle each other for crumbs off the floor helps keep the focus off those gorging at the banquet tables.

Helps explain why the GQP has never done anything for the average person.

Wealthy capitalists have done everything possible to submerge the rights of the people who actually do the work that creates their extreme wealth since the very beginning of colonizing North America. The book is very detailed about this.

Governors working against the people of their states

It’s we, we we, until it comes to paying people a living wage, then all of a sudden it’s us against them. Anyone who believes corporations care anything about their workers is delusional. They only do what they are forced to do by law.
