I see postings and commentaries from the Trumpists denigrating President Biden for not taking stronger action against Iran. Now here we have a far-right cartoonist claiming the extreme opposite. Just what does the far-right think President Biden should have done?

That’s why Iran’s attack was so weak.

Netanyahu is just playing us for more aid and weapons. When is Biden going to get the hint and let Israel fight their own battle. They would never come to our defense.

Israel started it when they bombed the Iranian embassy… unprovoked… killing 16 including 2 Iranian generals. The fact that Iran was so measured and reserved in its response is actually quite stunning.

So appropriate that Biden is in a plane with the star of David on it. The USA has no defense alliance or treaty with Israel. Politicians simply get campaign contributions from their lobby.

The whole region is like the Balkans in 1914. And it’s MASSIVELY oversimplying the situation to suggest that the problem is just all these countries wanting death to Israel. That implies a unity that simply doesn’t exist. They share some common antipathies, but they are not friends, and they do not hate Israel to equal degrees. There are missiles depicted for Syria and Yemen here, and neither of those countries have full control of their own territory — they are both embroiled in long-running and extremely bloody civil wars. And it ignores all the other players in the Mideast in favor of bringing out some of the favorite GOP bogeymen. Jordan and Egypt are both exquistely involved, despite their best efforts to remain neutral; while we all know where Iran, the official government of Syria, and the Houthi-led rebel provinces of Yemen would go, it is by no means clear what Jordan or Egypt would do if this blows up. Or Saudi Arabia, for that matter, or Qatar, or even Iraq, and considering the massive investment in US bases in those countries, and the near-certainty that the US would have to support Israel due to existing state obligations, it would put them in a very difficult position indeed, immediately vulnerable to retaliation. This comic betrays little understanding. Lisa Benson thinks we’re already seeing a regional war. We are not. It could get a whole lot worse.

Thank God he’s not president. If he and Netanyahu had their way MILLIONS of Israel, Palestinian, American, Iranian, etc, citizens and military personnel would be dead right now.

You’ll notice the heads of state in all of the surrounding Middle Eastern countries who are our allies are FOR a two state peaceful solution between Isreal and Palestine. The only way to achieve that is to stop a full blown Middle Eastern was from breaking out.

The amount of ignorant people in the US is no longer astounding. But when it comes to TRUTH? Facts matter.
