He was found guilty of committing fraud by a jury of his peers. He will appeal and he will lose that appeal because his terrible lawyers did not contest or present any evidence that his actions were not fraudulent. The appeals court may reduce the amount of his fine but he was found guilty of fraud and he will be paying a very large amount of money as restitution.

Kelley gets increasingly desperate in his faltering defense of The Louche Lowlife.

The problem is he did not post his own money, the bond was backed by Don Hankey, a billionaire who got rich making subprime auto loans aka title loans.

A leftist in robes next to a corrupt leftist AG who ran on the specific promise to get Trump. This is leftist style justice, or lack thereof.

The appeals can go forward. Judge Engoron and Letitia James will be overturned and maybe censured for their kangaroo court trial.

Are those the assets he left in a Mar-a-Lago bathroom?

And if he loses the appeal (as most experts believe) will those taking victory laps above be so certain that this was a “win”?

If you don’t believe that Letitia is a greater threat to democracy than “billionaire” Trump, you are not seeing tht she is using her office as a political weapon. She should be disqualified on the grounds of her campaign when her platform was to “get Trump.” It that is not evidence of a bias, that pray tell me what is. I lived in New York state many years ago, and I thank whatever god will listen that I am far removed from there now.

Actually I think the bond application was considered deficient, for now.

Democrats are the party that calls Republicans fascists, conspires with big tech to censor information they don’t like, labels concerned parents at School Board meetings “domestic terrorists”, that uses the legal system to persecute and intimidate opposition, and tried to unconstitutionally ban a Presidential candidate from the ballot, but they are “trying to save democracy”. So, to Kelley, posting the bond was a clever ploy to prevent the evil forces from their plan to seize his assets when in fact the justice system had reduced the amount he had to pay and even given him extra time to pay it in? I wonder, does he also think he’s putting one over on the bank when he cleverly prevents them from foreclosing on his house by paying his monthly mortgage bill?

I’m shocked, shocked that this cartoon leaves out the details about the bond, which pauses the judgment against him while he appeals and is intended to make sure that defendants found guilty have enough assets to cover the amount of the judgment against them while they are appealing the ruling, to prevent people from tying up a case with appeal after appeal as a way to avoid paying the amount they owe.

As for the bond itself, it has been temporarily rejected by the court because of the lack of sufficient proof by the surety company he used to post the bond, Knight Specialty Insurance Company, run by a supporter of his, that it has enough assets to pay if his appeal fails.

It is interesting how self-proclaimed millionaire genius is broke all of the time. Howe often has he walked into a restaurant and ordered drinks for everyone, then walked out without paying.
