For 15 years Trans Day of Visibility has been on 31 March – it never changes. By contrast, Easter Day is based on when the magic of the full moon occurs and the erroneous belief that the sun moves around the Earth. Even so, a better question is why did Christians decide they should celebrate Jesus on Trans Day?

Christians did not just decide to celebrate Easter on Trans Day. Easter is a moveable Christian feast and the date is predicted each year by the circuit of the sun and the moon. Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring equinox. So, every so often Easter will fall on the same day.

That is messed up. Biden continues to disgust and insult Americans. Was the timing of this announcement coincidence or intentional. I think the latter based on his handlers.

Children, the same egg guidelines have been in place for 45 years – Trump’s WH followed them too. FoxNews & Mike yelled out “squirrel” even tho there wasn’t one and many of you sadly chased it…again

Maybe some Christians could concentrate on resurrecting tolerance or respect or at least minding their own business.

From ABC News, regarding “egg art” at the WH egg roll:

A copy of this year’s flyer calling for submissions to the youth egg art contest lists restrictions including the promotion of discrimination, illegal drugs and firearms or “any questionable content, religious symbols, overtly religious themes, or partisan political statements.”

The American Egg Board has been a supporter of the White House Easter Egg Roll for over 45 years and the guideline language referenced in recent news reports has consistently applied to the board since its founding, across administrations, the organization said in a statement.

This is a long standing rule established by Congress. Biden had nothing to do with it.

Some people are saying that this day has been celebrated for the last 15 year. Joe Biden is the FIRST President to make it an official day in the U.S., starting in 2021. I expect it will soon be followed with Alcoholics Visibility Day, Schizophrenics Visibility Day, and Narcissists Visibility Day.

“In 2021, U.S. President Joe Biden proclaimed March 31 as a Transgender Day of Visibility, stating in part, “I call upon all Americans to join in the fight for full equality for all transgender people.” Biden was the first American president to issue a formal presidential proclamation recognizing the event."

The rules change to the egg hunt was not because of the Biden administration. Republicans seized upon guidelines that prohibit religious symbols at the event, though the head of the American Egg Board said such regulations have been in place for years and only apply to painted eggs inside the White House that are part of an installation designed by military children.

Let me ask you a question, you bunch of boot-licking, hypocritical, useful idiots.

How come none of you was complaining, for the last SEVENTY YEARS, every time a President hosted pagan-worshipping halloween parties????

White House hits out at Republicans’ ‘cruel and hateful rhetoric’ in ‘dishonest’ argument over trans day of visibility

White House Press Secretary says there’s been ‘a lot of misinformation’ about president’s proclamation of Transgender Day of Visibility on 31 March

So, fake Christians are upset, not about the secularization of a holiday by use of pagan symbols (I guess Eostre followers would be glad), but by a proclamation for something that takes place on the same day (just once every 60 years, mind you). It has been pointed out that “Easter, like Christmas, has accumulated a great many traditions, some of which have little to do with the Christian celebration of the Resurrection but derive from folk customs.” As far as the outcry, I don’t know whether it is more sad or funny.

Since Easter occurs in spring, the mating season, can an equal argument be made that it has a connection with estrus?

    ESTRUS

    noun

es·trus: a regularly recurrent state of sexual receptivity during which the female of most mammals will accept the male and is capable of conceiving : HEAT – Mirriam-Webster

But this year’s celebrations have been marred as Republican politicians and commentators falsely accused President Joe Biden’s administration of banning religious themes and symbols from the celebration’s art contest — failing to note that the policy has been in place during every administration for almost 50 years. – Independent

Ahh Easter. The one day of the year when Jesus blessed a bunny to lay eggs then provide them to all the good children who did not shout, who did not cry, who did not pout, I’m telling you- no wait…. that’s a different cultural theft… when Jesus said “Blessed are those who sit in judgement of others for I am too busy to do it myself.”

The RW commenters will be along shortly to point out where Jesus offered eternal salvation to those who cast the first stone.

Typical far right drivel. This policy about the Easter eggs has been in force for decades. Just more propaganda from the far right liars. As for the transgender issue, if you don’t like it, look the other way.

You can’t make it up. I’m trying to determine if there is a more divisive day that Biden could have picked. . . totally intentional and designed to cause as much conflict and division as possible. Most democrats are clueless bigots and just don’t get it.
