Luckily my newspaper (remember them?) stopped carrying the stupid and dishonest Lisa Benson toons a few years back. But she was accidentally right for a change.
The GOP is good at losing. They prefer their cocktail parties and committee appointments more than serving their most hated political opponents: their grassroot, republican political based.
Time for the RINO’s to go and true conservatives to replace them. More Rand Paul, Chip Roy and Ron Desantis. No more Romney’s, McConnel, Haley, Dewines, McCarthy’s….the list goes on and on…
Democrats be like If we could just jail Trump, get rid of MAGA, stack the Supreme Court, eliminate the filibuster, control free speech, eliminate the electoral college, and voter i.d., then we could save Democracy.
He has to be better than lying Schiffty Bug Eyes. But given that it’s CA, I doubt Garvey has a much of a chance. At least Katie Porter lost. Dumb and radical and harmful to her own state – maybe some voters are waking up in CA?
As strange as one might think, this is a good thing for the Democrats. Senator Padilla only spent $4,000,000 on his re-election campaign soundly beating his Republican challenger, allowing Democrats, individually and the party, to put their funds where it was needed in other races. More than 60% of the voters did not vote for Garvey. Look for similar results in November.
What is truly unfortunate about the US political duopoly is that the electorate does not get the collaborative government they need, Instead, they get the divided dysfunctional government based on exaggerated/manufactured issues to perpetuate [often petty] grievances of their opponents … along with empty promises of solutions that are always deferred to the nest session of Congress.
Our primary system destroys any hope of collaboration and makes the division ever deeper — nurturing deep distrustful, disrespectful, divisions instead of building trustworthy, respected bridges to common goals. Yet our self-centered duopoly cares naught about those they should be representing and the electorate’s increasing lack of trust in the duopoly’s choices of candidates.
the left is only angry at the right because the right is forgotten how to govern, working for the good of the country means compromise the right has forgot how to do that or just don’t want to
Mr. Garvey is a nominee by the shrewd strategy of Adam Schiff. Rep Schiff focused on Mr. Garvey exclusively making him out to be a genuine threat. Now instead of the race being against Katie Porter, a fellow Democrat, it’s against a Democrat and a republican in a state where Democrats outnumber republicans 2 to 1.
IN SPORTS: The Red Hats are predicted to dominate the Blues in the California Fruit, Flakes, and Nuts League this season. The Reds are confident in their star player, Steve Garvey. Meanwhile the Blues are returning after a losing season uncertain if their lead player, Shifty “Pencilneck” Schiff, can shake off his tendency to hit foul balls. It is this reporter’s opinion that Schiff should have been sent back to the minors long ago.
It is hard to understand why voters support Schiff after four years of lying about Russia and Trump. He said he had evidence, then Avenatti said he had it. Oh wait. No one had anything. Democrats in California will elect Schiff and say they saved democracy. I doubt Garvey will ever run for anything again.
Steve was getting busy with his secretary while he was married to his wife Cyndy. He’s a perfect Republican candidate. If your wife can’t trust you, you’re perfect!
Has no platform, gives no answers. Probably waiting for trump to tell him what to do and think. While Schiff promoted him as he’s an easier candidate to beat, I’m sick he’s even on the ballot instead of Katie Porter.

Really don’t see California not voting for Schiff. Then again, it is California.

Can’t the GOP find a candidate who is not a con-man, or shills for one?
The Federal Trade Commission charged Garvey and others involved in deceptive advertising of “The Enforma System” weight loss products.
