They don’t care that he is a felon. They know he’s a felon.

They will vote for him whether he’s convicted or not.

It was unanimous. Which means they were ruling VERY narrowly. Even though I disagree, I understand why they oppose states rights in this regard.

The American way: A felon can run for president but in many states a felon, even those who completed their sentences, cannot vote.

Has he been convicted, yet. If he hasn’t, the SC may (shudder) be right. So let’s get going on all the trials!

The cartoon seems to be missing someone. There should be four women there. I can make out Ancilla, Brown-Jackson, and Sotomayor, but where is Kagan? Who is the red-haired one? It would help if they were in the order of seniority.

Who on a ballot has been charged, tried, and found guilty of insurrection?

I listened to the whole SCOTUS hearing on this issue, and the subsequent analysis. And the consensus was that they were looking for a way out – to avoid having to decide if Trump is truly an insurrectionist who is not eligible to run. This is the way they decided on.

I bet trump would have loved being kicked off the ballot in Colorado. It would have gotten him martyr points and donor bucks, and it would have allowed the red states to put all their energy into kicking Biden off their ballots

GOP fix and make new laws to suit their own conspiracy theories and lies!

I’ll never get the attraction to the dumbest, biggest lying fascist in the world!

The only thing I come up with is he tells them what they WANT TO HEAR! Cons them out of their money to support his ongoing lawyers fees and what’s-her-names designer bills.

He’s only using his “faithful flock” for money and votes…and when all is said and done, he’ll throw them under the bus!

There has never been, nor will there ever be again, a snake-oil salesman, an insurrectionist, a Nazi loving fascist, a pathological dementia ridden candidate running for president.

VOTE BLUE TO SAVE AMERICAS DEMOCRACY AND FREEDOMS! ‼️❤️

The convicted criminal (appealing his case) Steve Bannon (Traitor Trump’s brain) has always said that he wants “Trumpism without Trump.” So, yes, things can get worse.

As for our resident imbecilic and dishonest trolls, how the hel can they NOT know that plenty of never Trumpers are Republicans or (like myself and conservative icon George F. Will) former Republicans? No, the dam idgits will talk about “commies” as though they are comic books from the 1960’s. While not understanding the toon in question (or much of anything).

So Kavanaugh’s drunk, Kagan looks as she’s being squeezed, Alito’s fishing, Thomas is dreaming (or something is in that coke,) Roberts is mouthing off as usual, Gorsuch looks like an undertaker (or a contestant in a Boris Karloff look-alkie contest,) Barrett the Handmaiden is present, Sotomayor is stuffed to the gills, and Jackson looks like a deer in the headlights.

Swampy, there’s nothing in the Constitution that says someone has to be convicted of an insurrection to be removed from a ballot as there are usually no charges for that. People have been charged with sedition. And with the court system moving so slowly because of Trump’s delays, are voters are being denied the right to know. To see what happened on January 6, and to hear the phone call asking for 11,780 votes, you know Donald Trump is guilty of insurrection. I’m not lying, you are.

And remember these trolls rejoicing over 9-0 because they’re all going to be howling like stuck pigs over the immunity decision.

So now there has to be a lack of confidence in SCOTUS just because Colorado didn’t get their way, regardless if it was a 9-0 decision???

A convicted felon can be president. Might be something to put on a resume for the job. List all felony and misdemeanor convictions, please.

There are a ton of positions which do require that the applicant pass a CORI. But not the US Senate or House.

My daughter works with little kids at her church. She had to have a CORI. She used to teach school kids. CORI for that.

I guess the guys working on the Constitution and it’s amendments, never got to “No crooks in positions of power”

Congress is not empowered enforce any laws: The Fourteenth Amendment Section 3 states:“No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”The big points here is 1) shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. This does not say they have to be convicted of anything, “just witnessed by citizens as engaging in” is all that is needed to disqualify anyone so engaged.

To override the rule established by the Fourteenth Amendment in Section 3, The Amendment itself takes overriding it out of the supreme courts hands and places it squarely in Congress’ by stating the following:

How many expensive dinners has Thomas been treated to by billionaires who had business before the court?

Shouldn’t Thomas recuse himself on any judgements on Trump since his wife is an avowed Trump insurrectionist who wants to tear the USA government apart?

A sexual assault liability in civil court is enough for me to realize ineligibility. Extorting a foreign leader to create the illusion of investigation into his political rival with intent to cheat to win is enough for me to realize ineligibility. The list goes on and on. We the People will hopefully stop the lifelong cheater with our votes in November, for the good of the country

Sometimes I think that a certain percentage of his supporters, along with a larger percentage of his detractors, want this lifelong arrogant, perverted, stable genius (ha ha) to run and be summarily defeated, humiliated, and led away in handcuffs and chains in a perp walk without his silly red overlong tie, without his pancake makeup to hide his syphilitic lesions, and without his carefully coifed and sparse hairstyle. Just the thought makes me smile . . .
