The taxes were paid. No one has ever been indicted for failure to pay taxes when they were eventually paid. They do have to pay a substantial fine, which he also paid. The only real thing they have on Hunter is using the fact that he was related to Joe to get a whole lot of opportunities he would never have gotten if his last name had been Smith. There is also evidence that Joe was aware of this and didn’t stop him, and did have some contact with the people giving his son those opportunities. That isn’t illegal ( though I’d make a pretty good argument that it should be]. There is just no mechanism for arresting someone for choosing to do business or not based on who someone is related to. Where you would have a case is if there was any proof of a phone call where Joe Biden said something along the line of " You treat my kid good and I’ll treat you good". That may have even happened, but unless you have some proof of it, which is what the FBI agent alleged before he went to jail for lying about it, you got nothing.
If anyone has any proof of Joe Biden influencing or sharing in his son’s business I would guarantee you an all expense paid 3 week stay at Mar A Lago, including airfare on tRump 1, a round of golf with tRump himself (no counting allowed), dinner with tRump (duck if he asks for the ketchup) and friends (bring a Russian to English translation book), a guided tour of the secured document room (toilet paper provided), and a memorial service at the property burial site. CAUTION! No speaking with the undocumented immigrant help is allowed!
The House Committee still needs to produce one single piece of verified evidence that President Biden has in any way profited from his son’s business.
