I grew up in a house full of books and no televisions. This was in the 50’s. When I hit high school in the 60’s, I had read the English class reading list years before.

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Literally in some cases. There used to be a saying at one of them: “Cisco isn’t just a career, it’s a wardrobe!”. They used to give us t-shirts for everything.
Yep. I’ve been through the downsize nonsense 5 times in my career. The last one dropped me when I turned 70. Funny thing that. No one seems to want a software engineer over 70. Oh well…

Climate is what you expect; weather is what you get. If the weather starts changing radically and consistently, the climate has changed. Melt the polar ice caps and the prediction of weather (climate) will change.
My take was that the stereotype is two people standing in front of a large bookshelf with one saying “Have you read all these?” and this cartoon would be the owner has no books but a large television. Sort of a commentary on the replacement of books by television. I could easily be totally wrong :)
Would those be the papers that they need to vote? I thought you Nazis were all in favor of that.
