So no TV for Chile until it cleans up its desert.

    We get four space facts.

One time I weighed 60,001 tons and had to go on a crash diet.

Sarles Chimonyi One time I went to the International Space Station three times, but I just beamed three since they have a Star Trek one in this group of facts. If he invented Microsoft, then I’m guessing Bill Gates invented Amazon.

One time I had $1,001. Why not offer $1,000 to spend on whatever we want instead of college?

May the Lord be with you as He is with me.

Those folks in Chile really need to learn to hang up their clothes.

60 million dollars for a trip to space just obscene spending that kind of money with the poverty levels some live in .

It is his money to spend but my morals would not allow me to throw away cash like that.

A day on Venus lasts longer than a year on Venus

    1. It takes Venus longer to rotate once on its axis than to complete one orbit of the Sun.

That’s 243 Earth days to rotate once – the longest rotation of any planet in the Solar System – and only 224.7 Earth days to complete an orbit of the Sun.

A “trekkie” is a fan of Star Trek. A trekker is a hiker/backpacker/walker. I’ve been both for many years.

Chile needs to be told about thrift stores, the great clothing recyclers.

Why is “can be seen from space” still a thing? Go to Google Earth and you can see my pickup in my driveway from space. Spy satellites can read the words off a page from a book that someone is reading on a park bench

Once read that all future clothing could be manufactured using existing materials. The recycle center should relocate to that desert.

All those years people’s socks have gone missing in the laundry, but nobody thought to check the Atacama desert….

Chile has long been a hub of second-hand and unsold clothing, made in China or Bangladesh and passing through Europe, Asia or the United States before arriving in Chile, where it is resold around Latin America.

Some 59,000 tonnes of clothing arrive each year at the Iquique port in the Alto Hospicio free zone in northern Chile.

Clothing merchants from the capital Santiago, 1,800km (1,100 miles) to the south, buy some, while much is smuggled out to other Latin American countries. But at least 39,000 tonnes that cannot be sold end up in rubbish dumps in the desert.

The lengths of days and years are essentially unrelated to one another. The one is defined by how quickly the planet rotates, while the other is defined by how long the planet takes to complete one revolution around the sun.

I knew that about Venus. We should move there. Our days here don’t give me enough time. And hey, most of the time you’d celebrate Christmas twice in the same day!

And to think of the thousands of tons of clothes scattered in large piles elsewhere. Talk about wasteful consumerism. Pointless.
