Can Wallace imagine Carl’s tail back on?

It’ll be sad if that is the end of Gary. He adds a touch of ‘the gothic’ to the strip, which I for one will miss.

I will not “like” this atrocity. Vive la Gary!

We will see how this story develops. It has spread into another week. Spud does seem to be growing on Carl so it is possible Carl will be imaginary friend to both Wallace and Spud. It is also possible that Gary will revive and become a better imaginary friend to Spud.

There can be only one!

Time for toasted troll sammiches!

Why, oh, why, do I get the feeling Spud lost one imaginary friend & is now going to get a second one??? Namely, Carl? It’d be just like Wallace, to “give” Carl to his bestie.

“His goofiness is unmatched.” Heh-heh. Heh.

Any bets Spud will change his mind and want Gary back?

It’s only Monday. I strongly suspect Gary will be back with us, but Carl (Best Name Ever) is now reunited with Wallace and we will at times see one or the other, or even both together, in the future!

If an imaginary friend says a human child displays unmatched goofiness…Spud has serious issues (what else is new? :D)

Next up: Spud complains that nobody brings him sandwiches, imaginary or otherwise, anymore.

Carl’s tail was cut off by his opponent to make a sandwich (of course). I can’t believe you make us wait all weekend for the results of the death match!

Also, I was wrong about the friendship prediction it seems.

Awwww… i’m genuinely sad. He just.. wanted to make sandwitches. He wasn’t very good at it but he meant well.

Maybe over parsing things, but … will another creature be frightening Spud instead of Gary? Or will Gary return but not frighten Spud, maybe when Spud really wants a sandwich, since we know Spud can eat Gary’s sandwiches?

Never heard of Daffy Duck, eh?

I was really kind of hoping Carl and Gary would become friends in the imaginary world, I really was.
