    The 14th Amendment to the Constitution, as both Colorado’s Supreme Court and Maine’s secretary of state have correctly decided, is clear in its language: Anyone who has “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against” the U.S., after taking an oath of office, is forbidden from running again.

    The Left is focusing exclusively on Section 3 of the 14th amendment, while pretending that Section 5 doesn’t exist. That’s because Section 5 not only “vests Congress with the authority to adopt ‘appropriate’ legislation”, but requires it to do so. And Congress has complied, by making insurrection a Federal crime.

    The only problem for the Left is that nobody has charged Donald Trump with that Federal crime. In particular, not Jack Smith or the clown-nosed Valley Girl from Maine.

    True. Does the state constitution say this woman can do this? Did Colorado’s state constitution say the Supreme Court say they can do this? Everyone has been talking about section 3 of the 14th Amendment. Here is section 1, “No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws”.

    So no state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States without due process of law. Sorry, last I checked a state supreme court is still part of the state.

    I will vote for who I want even if I have to write it in. Where does any state get the right to remove anyone from a party primary ballot? The general election, maybe but a primary? Each political party should be responsible for its own slate of candidates on their party’s ballot not the state.
