Old joke. This has been a recurring fear since AI was a concept back in the 50s. Then the Terminator movies came out and now it’s a paranoia. Meanwhile, in reality, we got ChatGPT that can’t write to save its life and GPS that still gets lost. Come back at me when artificial intelligence actually displays proper INTELLIGENCE.
I doubt AI will be either as useful or as frightening as the media would have us believe. This kind of reminds me of all the hysterical predictions of doom we heard as we approached Y2K.
Remember a decade ago when the “cloud” was the answer to everything. Fast forward a decade and now it’s AI. An advanced application of.. if this→then that.
You never know. The way things have been in this country since 2016, maybe artificial intelligence will be better than the level of intelligence in the Capitol building.
When the first automobiles were made they resembled carriages, it was familiar, then later more streamlined, robots are being made to resemble the human form. Do they need to be?

It should be smaller. It’s not the big deal people think it is now.

Best we make ourselves indivisible/altruistic BEFORE we start training a potentially autonomous sentient AI.

For 2025, the bot will have two eyes. Or, if Elon Musk takes charge, the bot will have two heads, with one eye in each.

Did “Time” also consider AI before, eventually, choosing T. Swift as thing of the year?

Considering the Republican Party’s current list of presidential candidates, the Republican Party should be the first AI customer.
Since we are discussing illegal activity, get a load of this ripoff.

Behind every “artificial intelligence” are humans who have “taught” it how to behave.
