Somewhat encouraging. County finally got back to us. Using the VA loan option with my bank; it was suggested I get an appraisal on this place and will be calling that number tomorrow. Owner Cindy said the state has worked favorably with people on properties with wells that go way back, that no longer have a well permit available. The outfit that put the well here has disbanded over 50 years ago and so there is no record. This place will be required to undergo some upgrades to bring it into this century. The appraisal should help in setting cost for this place as I will be paying for them in place of the current owner doing so.

Going to the Big box McMansion out front on the 17th for their long overdue(?) open house. I took pictures of it as it was being built. I suppose I should collate those that I may present them a link of their home, under construction. Still need to get our 2017 so. Cal. shots over to flickr.

Kind of presumptuous of Dick to assume she is in the library. She could be but could also be in the kitchen, the bathroom or any number of places she habituates when home.

Ah yes now for the epee’c finale. Now there be three possibility.

1. She is give up. Or surrender.(Unlikely for this one).

2. She do something stoopid and either get killed or arrested. (Which appear to has most possibility given the way character is written as).

3. She is takes the cowardly way out and ends life. Heil Goldilocks! Buries her under a hooked cross.

4. She is escapes through her underground submarine to comes back for revenge some other day as a new Tracyville cheesy villain The Sinister Stabber. or maybe Sumuru! (For she has Million Eyes but we is only see two of em so far, one in book binder’s and anOther in C club.)

Shouldn’t Dick Tracy be using a modern LED flashlight with a white light ? The yellow light is emitted by older incandescent flashlight bulbs. Get with the times Dick !!!

I agree with the lady, all that space for a single person is incredible, (if it weren’t for the library) I think it would be a waste of space!

I think it would be a nice twist to have Madonna found in a secluded room, impaled on her own fencing weapon…thru the stolen……hey wait a minute…exactly WHAT was stolen?

Off topic – has anyone figured out the GoComics algorithm for determining what your “new notifications” are? For instance, I just got notified of a reply to a comment made on the DT strip for 12/14/22 – and that reply is also dated “12 months ago”. Inconsistencies like that seem to happen on a regular basis!

Oh, shucks golly…no basement in the library. How does Miss Lady think she is going to escape? Her life of crime must be due to the stress of being an overachiever. Plus trying to hold her own in a man’s world. I don’t envy her lawyer, maybe she can plead temporary insanity.

I’ve got it! Libris had some trick devices built in to her sword, just like the Marvel Comics character Swordsman – she’ll use them to escape! (In the comics, the Swordsman was the mentor of a teenage Clint Barton, who later became Hawkeye of the Avengers; a non-costumed version of him appeared in the MCU Hawkeye mini-series.)

I know you want to hear it, your such an idiot, and have nothing good to do with ths strip, Why don’t you make like the birds and flock off!!!

While the female cop squad is cleaning out the Choate Club’s gym locker room the MCU arrest team (Tracy, Sam, Lee, and Lizz) approaches the Libris mansion’s main entrance. By wrist genie (or whatever this iteration should be called) the gym busters inform Tracy of the tip-off by the club attendant/receptionist, and the arrest team proceeds to enter by the book (ahem!), with guns drawn and shouting loudly (and yes, as was noted above, the poses struck in panel 2 by the arrest team do call to mind the iconic badge of Charlie’s Angels). The entry sweep continues in panel 3, Lee puzzling over only one biosign, and Tracy certain who and where that is: Xaviera, in the library, with the épée (no doubt).

The showdown standoff facedown gun-versus-sword fight is at hand, unless Xaviera’s steely self-control collapses and she meekly surrenders….
