These days, politics are more potent than tryptophan.

As today’s xkcd comic (xkcd dot com) points out, surveys show most families don’t argue about politics at Thanksgiving.

Of course, the Kingdom of Id might not be “most families.”

Ugh, can we put the tryptophan myth to rest? It’s the amount of total carbs ingested, requiring increased bloodflow to one’s digestive system, NOT tryptophan, that makes one groggy. Sorry to be a pedant, but sheesh….

I see they actually did get a turkey, but the king got left out. Better hope he doesn’t find out or they’ll be spending Christmas in the dungeon.

Except, they are eating ham. No turkey in sight.

Good thing is after politics start you realize you won’t have to get as many gifts as you thought for Christmas.
