Hahaha, it’s funny because everyone insults Lena to her face!

Where’s the humor?

I think that was an un-called for insult !!!!!

Lena’s cooking was once featured in the TV show “That’s Inedible!”.

WHY is Lena? Why did Tom create this character just to have everyone hate her? She cooks bad, she bowls bad, GOT IT, and WHO CARES. She’s like the straw man argument, except with no straw. Oh, is this Tommy’s mother again, who didn’t like him skipping school so he could read comics wherein the Flash got fat? Why did Tom create her just to hate her? Yeah yeah, if I don’t like it, blah blah. Do you people even read this strip? It’s a lot weirder than you think.

For those who praise the art, I’m with you. That is a very detailed drawing of a house in Medina or Elyria. I’m sure Tom included grainy photos of it, while yelling at Davis “IT MUST BE PERFECT!” And for those who don’t know, Tom sits on scripts as brilliant as this FOR A YEAR, then demands the artist do his weird architectural nostalgia in TWO WEEKS. Which side did the most work?

All of those calls are from Poison Control and the local emergency room.

Sorry, Lena, guess you’ll have to find some other way to earn that money you owe to Jabba the Hutt.

So you’re cutting her column for what? Saving space? Because she has a job, and must be submitting the column for free.

Strike a compromise by leaving her column in the digital version. They do have a digital version, don’t they? If not, I don’t know why they are trying so hard to save a paper newspaper which is going to die soon anyway.

I thought the problem was the town was getting fat because of the Food section of the paper. So wouldn’t her horrible recipes actually be doing good?

At least it’s nice to see that Ed finally moved. He didn’t croak during the meeting after all.

There is no face reaction to that from Crankshaft…why?
