    The Evil Gnome in the Middle has ensorcelled Petey, giving him the unaccustomed aggressiveness needed to play Pin the Blame on Alice, giving her the much-needed sense of guilt she has earned (though perhaps not for “a handful of gravel”; I wonder what young Clint Eastwood could do with that in a spaghetti western?)….
