I’m absolutely certain money changed hands so principles could be thrown away so easily. The only good that comes out of it is that poor excuse for a human Greg Norman appears to have been offloaded.

I’ve played golf for more than 3 decades. Big fan. But I’m done with the PGA Tour because of this. With the NCAA, LPGA, and the majors, there are plenty of other options that don’t involve getting into bed with murderers.

Golf is the only “sport” that I can think of where you hit the ball and then have to go get it. So Then there are golf carts and caddies so you don’t have to walk or carry clubs.

I do like mini golf.

There are some in the PGA that are NOT happy with this. Sadly, they are players, not the ones that control the organization.

Just glad President Biden stayed away from the sword dance, bowing to the King of Saudi to receive a medal from him, and doing that weird hands on the glowing orb thing.

Based upon the tone of most of the comments, it seems safe to assume that the vast majority of commenters have done their best to avoid funding countries such as Saudi Arabia by minimizing the purchase of their chief export. After all, it’d be quite hypocritical for those who have allowed themselves to be car-dependent to lambast the PGA.

One thing I find interesting is that almost to a person, the far-right cartoonists are critical of this “deal”, and they’re illustrating the same complaints as the “liberal” cartoonists. A few are silent, but I haven’t seen even one cartoon that expresses support.

What’s more, in spite of the generally perceived lock step among right-leaning cartoonists, I don’t recall ever before seeing this many of them being motivated to Illustrate the same single issue in so short a timeframe.
