Who SHOULD be allowed to have / carry a gun? Because the last few days have shown us a LOT of examples of people who should not.

In Florida someone is killing trans people, I think it’s 4 now.

Well regulated means well trained, well drilled, not more laws regarding posession of firearms.

“I’m funny how, I mean funny like I’m a clown? I amuse you?”

That’s a typical killing in Chicago and other inner cities for decades. Three were shot and killed in Chicago on April 16 alone. Nice to finally see some outrage…….oh……wait.

Sadly, true.

“Stand your ground” is a license to kill. Premeditation is harder to prove so you better watch what you say on stormfront.org (or the comments section of GoComics for that matter).

According to the Rand Corporation, there is supportive evidence that concealed-carry laws may increase total and firearm homicides. Feel safer now?

We have more guns in America than we have people. Pardon the pun, but isn’t that overkill?

Keep watching Fox News, Newsmax and OAN; they will tell you everybody who is out to get you. Keep alert. Check 6. Watch your back. Stay sharp. Keep your guard up. Don’t lock your gun up. Keep it handy. You never know when you’re going to have to use it.

“They” are everywhere and they will harm you at the first opportunity. They could be just around the corner, sneaking up on you as you are reading this or hiding under your bed or in your closet (along with LGBTQ) or ringing your doorbell, or turning around in your driveway, or wearing a cheerleader uniform (the new garb for terrorists) or chasing a basketball across your lawn. Don’t let them win. Shoot first to protect your self. STAND YOUR GROUND. Follow the GOP rule “Do unto others before others can do unto you.” MAGA.

Stand your ground laws: Protecting violent paranoid citizens, one murder at a time.

I was threatened by what that person was thinking. I think their thoughts put my life in danger. I was forced to act in defense of my life.

This is my sincere and deeply held belief.

In Florida a man who emptied his gun into another vehicle, wounding a child, was not charged. Under our “stand your ground” law, the police determined the other guy threw a plastic water bottle at his car. A threat justifying him to fire a dozen rounds on a public thoroughfare while road raging. He was not charged with any crime!

Once again, I appreciate the theme, but can’t give it a like.

Gun idiots are everywhere and they are encouraged by both the news coverage as well as the continual presentation of violent behavior in movies and tv shows. No matter the subject of most films, they indicate the only solution is death in ways too horrible to contemplate but not beyond the abilities of the special effects people.

Our 1940’s Saturday movies were westerns or military based. In most of those films, people were seen to fall from gunshots but neither damage nor blood was shown. We were influenced to replay those themes on the playgrounds and neighborhood lots. No blood, no damage, and a ‘code’ of honorable interaction between hero and villain.

Over the past 6 decades it appears the themes of many films has been to forget the ‘code’ and to offer only a graphic and gory depiction of deaths by violence and cruelty. It also appears many are modeling that in real life.

That isn’t likely to change for a very long time.

That’s all it takes.

Guess it’s time to buy myself a flak jacket.

Regulating the possession of guns to insure the owners are responsible individuals and insuring proper training is just that regulating and not total; gun control. It is also common sense because regulating brings in revenue and continual training stimulates the economy.

If politicians want killers to be armed and not under control, please invite those individuals to the various state houses to visit you there and demonstrate openly your stupidity and maybe save the lives of your constituents and their children in the process! Hopefully your replacement will have better understanding of gun regulation.

Not much I can add to the conversation. Maybe just this; It amazes me how quickly and easily a person with a gun can ruin so many lives, including, of course, his own.
