Them’s some fancy backgrounds. Nice work. I like the new versions of the mascots as well.

We ought to have a party when you hit #1000!

DST was valuable a century ago. It saved electricity back in the day that electrical lighting was the primary consumer of power. Lighting has gotten far more efficient, and many other things consume power now, so the value of DST has evaporated.

I’ve never thought it was a good idea to give the whole country jet lag twice a year.

A GUIDE TO PUTTING YOUR CLOCKS FORWARD :

SMARTPHONE – LEAVE IT ALONE IT DOES IT WITH MAGIC.

SUNDIAL – MOVE ONE HOUSE TO THE RIGHT.

COOKER – YOU’LL NEED A MASTERS IN ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING OR A HAMMER.

CAR CLOCK – NOT WORTH IT, WAIT SIX MONTHS.

There is no law mandating DST. The Secretary of Commerce owns NIST and can start or stop DST at will and whim. Write to your state governors, US senators and representatives, Secretary of Commerce, and the President demanding the end of DST.

I have always preferred Daylight Savings Time. I find I’m more productive in the evenings. I don’t mind going to work in the dark terrible and it beats coming home in the dark.

Have you been to https://www.twopartyopera.com/ yet?

I was admiring the background in a comment earlier. If you go to the 2PO webpage when it shows the comic it also shows other details about the comic, such as the location. Today’s location was “Bold Glory”. A very appropriate name.

There should be a coupe. If all the phone companies would remove DST from their programming, time, calendars, not just automatic updates, but no DST in settings, would the government back down and immediately vote and pass a bill banning DST?

It is impossible to remove daylight savings time now that we are so computerized. How many devices would have to be reprogrammed seeing how many automatically do the adjustment?

Golf course owners like it because having that hour at the end of the day instead of the beginning increases the number of people who “sneak out for a quick nine” after work.

Time is an abstract, it can be whatever time you would like it to be although it does help countries etc to be in lockstep for starting and finishing things,

The history of mankind is that, with only rare exceptions, all societal decisions are dictated by Wealth.
