In the years since this first appeared, much has changed. The youngster is outside, sending texts from his phone, while gramps is home sending lengthy emails from a desktop computer…
“23-Skidoo” is good; as an alternative, he could also have said “Now you’re cooking with gas!”
He’s SO dated – it’s up to ‘24-we’re-screwed by now.
23-skidoo? That went out with the flapper in the coonskin coat! And I should know, I went out with her myself.

Hmm…At 76 I think I qualify as elderly. Something like “zorch” fits better than “23 skiddoo.”
