When I was in high school, I helped my father replace the roof on our house. I was on the roof of the garage, and the shingles began to crumble, and I started sliding. My mother said “What are you doing?” and I said “I’m FALLING!” she put a step ladder under where I was heading, which would have just been something bad to land on. My dad got the extension ladder there just as I reached the edge. Not my most harrowing experience on a roof…
