You will notice, over the next several months, that republicans have no clue on how to govern, effectively or otherwise.
It was, and is ALL about the acquisition and wielding of “power” – not governing.
Remember how NOT ONCE during the Trump “presidency” did Donnie John extend a hand to anyone who wasn’t a slavish devotee of his – his whole presidency was based on the precept that if you weren’t “for” him, you were against him – he literally was a “M.A.G.A.” president, not an American president…
Congressional republicans are getting ready to carry this “ideology” forward.
Keep in mind that the House has the “Power of the Purse” and that EVERY facet of federal government, from regulating air travel to keeping our food safe, is funded by the taxes you pay – you may think that destroying thousands of I.R.S. jobs is a great idea, but examine WHY republicans are bent on destroying those jobs for a moment before you cheer…
And why do Publicans want to guarantee an emasculated and dysfunctional IRS? Give me a moment . . . oh, well—maybe something about protecting the interests of tax cheats? Antisocial dishonesty as a “conservative” value? That’s funny. Well, whaddaya know, the cynics were right all along.
McCarthy might regret allowing that now any one House member can call for a Speaker’s ouster… and it could come from anybody in the House – not just the 15 or so conservatives who held up his new speakership…
‘I shouldn’t be your punching bag’: Marjorie Taylor Greene throws Trump under bus over McCarthy
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) complained on Monday that she is receiving hate from the MAGA movement because she supported Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for House Speaker.
Dr. Dre calls out ‘hateful’ Marjorie Taylor Greene for using his music
Rapper and music producer Dr. Dre is calling out Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for using his music without permission, TMZ reports. Greene posted a video of herself strutting through the halls of Congress after she helped vote in Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as the next House Speaker as music to “Still D.R.E.” was playing in the background.
‘Huge conflict of interest’: Expert slams Republicans involved in J6 for not recusing from investigation of FBI
During ABC’s “This Week” on the Sunday talk show circuit, Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA), one of the key congressional figures who supported the plot to overturn the 2020 presidential election and a person at the heart of the DOJ investigation, made clear he wouldn’t recuse himself from a proposed select subcommittee into whether the DOJ and FBI handled these investigations appropriately.
“Why should I be limited, why should anybody be limited, just because someone has made an accusation?” said Perry. "Everyone in America is innocent until proven otherwise. And I would say this: the American people are really, really tired of the persecution and the instruments of federal power being used against them.
That sword is over the heads of people that are now or should be getting Social Security and Medicare. Call McCarthy’s office and tell that to those who work for him.
To echo a question above, if it takes only one representative to call for a vote of no confidence couldn’t the Dems call for one every day? Maybe several times a day?

repugs killing jobs already:
Sqeaker McCarthy: “Our very first bill will repeal the funding for 87,000 new IRS agents.”
Smart. Immediately threaten to kill 87,000 middleclass jobs providing oversight on the super rich who own your dum@sses.
And now down to the business of not legislating, and to vote themselves another pay raise for all that hard not-work.

Question, can 1 Democrat call for a speaker vote now or is it confined to just the Republicans?

Clearly it seems the core belief the GQP has of providing service to the citizens of the United States is a lot more akin to impregnating cattle.

I don’t get the impression from McCarthy that he’s worried about the sword. He got the title, and he believes that that makes him invulnerable.
