I used to make pancakes with whole wheat flour, oatmeal, raisins and walnuts. And smother them with warmed up molasses.
Got to be delicious with maple syrup ….
Show me where gridle is an acceptable spelling for griddle.
Now try doing that over an open fire with a cheap aluminum mess kit. It was possible back in the 1950s, but bacon is much leaner today. Not complaining.
Slathered in warm chocolate sauce? Sign me up for that!!
