But just like others who succumb to the grift, Republican Latinos will (probably,) vote for the former guy if he runs on the rethug ballot. I have never understood how people can vote against their better interests ….but they do. On the other hand, I don’t think that most Latinos believe in the Republican party line.. but here’s the thing.. I keep seeing all of these senior citizens voting Republican knowing that the rethugs are going to try and take away their support system. I just don’t get it.

Apparently, there aren’t a lot of mirrors in Florida, Texas and Arizona. Learn from your past and not bury it!

Democrats don’t recognize any difference between legal and illegal immigration, just like they don’t recognize the difference between rioting and mostly peaceful demonstrations.

Latino voters aren’t one issue voters, as much as many dems seem to think that they are. Dems need to vigorously protect legal immigration and find solutions to illegal immigration that isn’t inhumane to people desperate for a better life. But they also need to address the many other issues important to them. Repub hatred of pretty much all immigrants, legal and not, is a strong factor in bringing the community to the table but we Dems ignore the rest of their concerns at our political peril.

So when you join the GOP you cease to be Latino and become white trailer trash? Wow genetic research is missing something here, quit spending time on snakes having double clitorises.

Only those who come in illegally.

Why should people who broke the law be considered before those who followed the law?

Typical left wing ideology. There must be something wrong with you if you are Latino and do not vote Democrat.

This is particularly sensitive here in South Florida, where Miami-Dade flipped Red this time. Some liberal Latina millionaires have purchased a radio network down there, and I’m hoping that makes a difference in the future.

Rich black vote gop. Tax break. They don’t care for their own fellow man. And Dr. Martin Luther King was a rebel to them. Shame shame on their sham life.

I worked with Latinos who went through the legal process to immigrate who really hated those who did not. Combine that with the large number of Latinos who are Catholic and oppose abortion and you have a demographic the GQP managed to exploit.

There are those Latinos here who never “immigrated”. The border changed around their ancestors.

Cubans have been conservative since they fled the “liberal socialist” govt of the Castro’s.

Hypothetically, If you came to this country to take someone’s job, then there must be an infinite line of immigrants after you to come and take yours, and then someone will take the job he has stolen from you, and so on and so on, exponentially to the infinite until no one has a job!

As a resident of New Mexico since 1963 I can assure the reader that not ALL Latinos are or were “immigrants”.

When the U.S. government decided to “annex” large portions of the Southwest AFTER FIGHTING THE Mexican-American War (1846-1848), a large population of Latinos were taken into America either willingly or against their will – America wanted the land; the people were incidental – part of the “Manifest Destiny” crap American politicians were spreading at the time.

For the life of me, I can’t figure out why Latinos vote Republican.
