Hope nothing spooks the horse. Talk about a bumpy ride.

So one technique is to slap the horse on the belly so they stop puffing out their chest when you tighten the girth strap. Or, you can just wait a bit once it’s on and tighten it a bit more after they relax.

That actually happened at camp. The kid on the horse in front of me seamed to be tilting and was soon underneath it. True story.
