Decent turnout at the poll I worked in PA. Not 50% of registered voters bothered to cast ballots but I have no idea how many voted by mail. No violence even though there is a strong MAGAt minority in the area. John Fetterman defeated the Wizard of Oz for the senate seat in PA; Josh Shapiro defeated the election denier/Confederate lover Doug Mastriano for PA governor. Mr. Shapiro will now appoint the Secretary of State, making sure no election denier is appointed to that key position.
Looks like the pollsters were wrong again. Remember this going forward, people hang up when they discover a pollster is on the line, or lie about what they believe. Polls will continue as the MSM just adores them, especially when they are very antidemocratic
Since trump was elected president, I have purposely stayed away from watching any media during election night(s). My heart and stomach can’t take being in my throat for so long.
Let’s hope the kids do not continue the senseless hate/division that seems to be the primary side effect of a binary opposing party system that would rather obstruct than govern.
Reminds me of watching my hardcore Republican Conservative parents – Eisenhower Republican version though – lose their illusions with Nixon and Watergate and also Rockefeller and Attica. Their “how can this be and how can this be happening?” awakening was very hard on them. At least they were not supporting full blown out and out fascists like today’s GQP are
“The red wave has begun,” Boebert tweeted as polls began closing Tuesday evening. But as the sun rose over the Rockies on Wednesday morning, the firebrand conservative found herself underperforming in staggering fashion – one of several Republican candidates whose undecided races could cost her party control of both chambers.
Democratic challenger Adam Frisch, former Aspen City Council member, is on top of the leaderboard with 90% of the vote counted, 50.6% to 49.4%.
With how long it will take to process mail in votes, went straight to bed. Didn’t even check where things were. Not really paying attention until it’s all final.
That is quite a good depiction, Danziger. Brings up a variety of emotions, thoughts, feelings, hopes, dreams and perspectives.
You should offer it to some neutral organizations for future election years who worked hard this past election to get people to exercise their right to vote. Only the year on the TV screen would have to be changed.

Not quite up there with “ And what were you doing when JFK was shot?” But darker than “I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus.”

As usual, Democrats won more votes. And, as usual, structural advantages saved the GOP.
