And the distance between Florida and San Francisco or Los Angeles is even greater than the distance between the earth and the international space station.

Uzz Baldrin One time I had $33.32.

May the Lord be with you as He is with me.

In the Australian PSA for the 14 February 1966 changeover to decimal currency, “Dollar Bill” did a sum in £SD, which came out as £33/11/1. He then did a sum in dollars and cents. Much easier! Very catchy tune as well in that video!!

So if the moon’s dark side is turquoise, what’s the brighter side thereof? Silver?

Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong are telling bad moon jokes at a party, and nobody is laughing.

Buzz sighs, “I guess you had to be there”

    How Buzz Aldrin introduces himself…

“Hi, I’m Buzz Aldrin, second man on the moon… Neil before me!”

It’s interesting watching the ISS flyovers at night. The brightest object whizzing across the sky.

That space station fact was so bizarre that I had to look it up. It’s true, and the distance isn’t even close!

How high is too high to fall? Or does it depend on the weight of the object???

Considering the dark side faced the Earth during the year 1022, I wonder the thoughts people had of it.

Wait, what? There is no “dark” side of the moon, just the side that’s tidally locked away from the earth, and it gets a full day-night sequence just like the side we can see. Or do you mean a new moon, lit by earthglow?

I’m sure it takes longer to reach the space station. But a lot less time to return, if you’re not concerned about survival.

I’m surprised Aldrin was able to claim that much; he took a company vehicle, after all.

My first one for RBION. I hope it passes the strict “Black hat rules”. A woman and a baby were in the doctor’s examining room, waiting for the doctor to come in. The doctor arrived, examined the baby, checked his weight and found it somewhat below normal weight. The doctor asked if the baby was breast fed or bottle fed. “Breast fed,” the woman replied. “Well, strip down to your waist,” the doctor asked. She did. He pressed, kneaded, rolled, cupped, and pinched both breasts in a detailed, rigorously thorough examination. Motioning for her to get dressed he said, “No wonder this baby is under weight! You don’t have any milk.” “I know,” she said, “I’m his grandmother, but I’m glad I came.” Cheers,TBM.

The fact that ISS is close to the earth is not really surprising since “space” is considered to be 50 miles or more above. BTW, I’ve seen the ISS pass overhead at least three times. The best (and most convenient) time for viewing is just after sunset. It looks like a very bright star travelling very fast and usually last about 5-6 minutes. You can get a notification text message before it passes if you put yourself on a list on spotthestation.nasa.gov website. A cellphone app SkyView Lite can help you track it before it makes it’s pass.
